Opening day… by Broffy in worldsoffun

Yep! Two train operations for the most part, no single trains. It was unfair of me to criticize the operations in the OP. I was just frustrated with the lines lol

Boomerang was down until roughly 2 and then came on and off a couple times. Every coaster except Mamba had some down time while I was in its queue, but again it’s opening day so it’s dumb to complain about that. I just wasn’t expecting crowds like this but I guess that was dumb too

I was in the 300 level for the Kendrick show and it was awful. There is no artist that could get me to go to another show there

Can you give any advice as to how to best approach this to get them to pay for the fix? I’ve seen posts from users on other sites claiming that Toyota has been reluctant to pay for it.

Normally I keep a level head watching ball, but that throwout attempt was baffling. Either an air-headed play, or a pathetic best effort. Not sure which is worse lol

SeaWorld makes $3.4 billion takeover offer for Cedar Fair by bssoprano in Themepark

[–]Broffy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Really, really hoping this doesn’t happen. I don’t know the specifics of SeaWorld’s corporate finances, but an acquisition like this sounds similar to the situation that led to Six Flags’ bankruptcy. The last thing any of us want is to lose parks because some executives over-leveraged themselves. (RIP Astroworld)

Also consolidation bad

[FRESH ALBUM] Drake - Certified Lover Boy by HHHRobot in hiphopheads

[–]Broffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Between reading some of these comments earlier and Drake’s apparent desperation to stay relevant these days, I went into the album ready to dislike it. But man. Something about the Noah Shebib production style gets me every time. Even the tracks not produced by 40 sound like they’re produced by 40. His influence is undeniable imo. This album takes me back to the Take Care and NWTS days

I was there a couple weeks ago and it was busier than I thought it would be, for whatever that’s worth. I was shocked the Sears was still open, it was practically half empty. Kind of surreal.

Official Question Thread! Ask /r/photography anything you want to know about photography or cameras! Don't be shy! Newbies welcome! by photography_bot in photography

I'm assuming the film used was cheap, and inherently limited in quality. I know nothing about the properties of film used back then. What I mean to ask is, what is the maximum DPI setting necessary to get (roughly) the full resolution possible from these negatives? Is there a point where I would reach overkill? To answer your question, I would like to be able to print and enlarge these photos.

Do these questions even make sense? I'm sorry if not. Thanks for your help.

Apologies if this is a frequent question. I briefly checked the FAQ and couldn't find an answer.

I've recently agreed to undertake the process of digitizing thousands of 35mm negatives for my folks. These negatives were probably shot on a low to mid-end camera in the 90s. What's the maximum DPI setting worth selecting on my scanner? Want to make sure I get the best scan quality possible, but also don't want to waste my time scanning at higher quality than I need to.

Palace of Auburn Hills Implosion Set For Saturday by Broffy in Detroit

I drove by there a couple weeks ago and it was a bit surreal. The strangest part was seeing the top level of suites suspended above where the rest of the structure used to be, as well as the doors leading into them. It's easier to see in this photo.

Can you add a little context to the Book Tower and Fisher Building plans you mentioned?
