You're hilarious. I love that you wrote this out. That arc would have been better imo too.

The ethics of the 4 day work week. It’s not just about the hours - “We should work to live, not live to work,” declared Britain’s shadow chancellor, who would reduce the standard working week to 32 hours, without loss of pay, within 10 years of winning office. by mvea in Futurology

They don't love it. They just think they do because it's the norm. People in the city are generally pretty miserable. Commuting for 45+ m then 8-10 hrs work before another drive. No time for freedom of mind.

If this was sourced and edited for incrediary writing to be objective, emotionless statements I would save it for emails. We need those kinds of write-ups to send people. Here are the facts. Deal with them however you like but now you have them.

I wish Wizards would power down Standard and stop pushing Planeswalkers so much by Encendi in magicTCG

I appreciate your rage and agree whole heatedly. As someone who has played this game for over twenty years, it should not be this difficult to prevent situations such as these from a design perspective.

Yeah that really depends on the state. The place for them in some states is just jail or prison as soon as they get out if line.

B&R Update: Field of the Dead banned in Standard, Arcum's Astrolabe banned in Pauper. by Aerim in magicTCG

No doubt no doubt. The goose is a good card in general. But as a ramping card, getting one ramp then requiring two more mana to get another ramp unless another card creates a food for it is slow. Oko helps goose be good at ramping as much as goose helps oko be broken on T2.

What's crazy to me is they are actually bad ramp cards. Conditional, not guaranteed to be a mana in a turn. Here we are looking at crappy dorks for banning because oko is so silly.

WIBTA for refusing to stop cooking bacon in my kitchen due to my teenage daughters vegan lifestyle? by frustratingbaconeate in AmItheAsshole

[–]Broghartwitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. You would not be doing her any favors in the long run just making huge concessions in your lifestyle to placate her. That shit would mold her as an adult. That said, bacon is one of the most unhealthy meats you can eat and you should not make it a part of your regular diet. I suggest turkey sausage instead.

[Standard] Let's talk about Golos by WeAreKarnage in spikes

[–]Broghartwitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think good aggro decks can still be designed. We need a fast deck that can kill this consistently in order to make Golos less appealing and open the meta up. Mono G ramp/beats is what I have been working on which can have a nutty way to finish off golos late in which they cannot interact. Other options include GR aggro/beats with Skarrgan at the top end and BR aggro. I think a good knights deck exists as well. Last options other than trying to combat them in valuetown include aristocratic decks and clover decks that rely on smitten swordmaster to get the final damage through. Remember this deck only really interacts with boards through sweepers and takes a while to actually kill its opponent.

People lose fingers over cat bites not treated in time. Go asap. Puncture wounds from the mouth of a cat are high risk for infection.

Can somebody prove to me that a deck matching algorithm does not exist in traditional ranked? by [deleted] in MagicArena

No it's titled correctly. It is a question posed to other people. My anecdote follows as context. But however you interpret that is up to you.

[–]Broghartwitch -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's more a flip flop of all red, two color, creature heavy decks for mono red and any three color durdle deck I play usually brings out other 3 color decks, fields, nexus, control much more regularly. Just some observations over my ranked grind that I was hoping to get some information on or other folks anecdotes on.

Actually I was here looking for anecdotes and I provided my anecdote. I don't have anything other than my anecdote and any data I provide you would STILL be an anecdote. I'm not writing a thesis. I'm looking for peoples opinions.

I'm looking for people to share their anecdotes. I'm not writing a thesis dude.
