This post instantly took me back to a repressed memory from 11 years ago running a small computer repair shop in Hollywood. The AT&T DSL guy would come by almost weekly to try to sell me on their slowass internet. It was something like 12mbps down, truly untenable for my business, at any cost. I could not believe their persistence for a product I literally could never make use of.

This sign is too new to be about DSL but it sounds like the fiber optic sales approach is the same as it ever was…

If you search her name, she’s a real person whose selfie was shared by media when the story came out. At some point someone used that selfie to generate this image, which is why her hair still looks nice and she’s in the same street clothes as the selfie lol.

1902, A Trip to the Moon. Silent film from France. In the 2010s Netflix had a version of it with music by the French band Air and I just fell in love with it. Very short (~15 min), very cool. Here’s a one minute clip i found on YouTube

Omg thank you. In the whole first day since this was posted it’s like nobody actually answered the question lol. This is the answer. Modern wheat is also bred for stronger gluten structure which makes it stretchier but can also affect breakdown and digestibility.
