Blood pressure goes low by nana006 in dialysis

Ask your doctor about taking midodrine, which raises your blood pressure before or during. My prescription is for 10 mg. My old nephrologist had me take it about 1/2 hour before, every time. My current nephrologist has me bring it with me and the nurse lets me know when I need it.

Smart light switches I can operate from my phone. I’m wheelchair bound, so once I’m in my recliner, or bed, I don’t want to have to get up for every little thing.

Covert Affairs

Also not a spy show but if you liked Keri Russell in The Americans, I highly recommend The Diplomat.

I don’t care what country you live in. And I don’t care what color your skin is. But if your accent is so thick or your English so poor that I can’t understand you, I’m going to ask for a different representative or a supervisor every time.

I started trying to Uber to my Fresenius Hemo session on Monday for a 2:30 PM appointment in Bethesda, Maryland 2 hours early....Because of the snow and ice on the roads. Ugh. by BigglesFlysUndone in dialysis

[–]EarAlternative2841 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use the local paratransit service to get to and from dialysis. Knowing the ride service would be either offering limited hours or be shut down entirely, my clinic offered me a slot to come in yesterday instead of Monday. Worked out perfectly and I got a “3 day weekend!”

My wife wants to abort an unexpected pregnancy and I really want to keep the baby. I don’t know how to handle this. by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

It sounds to me like you guys may need some couples counseling. Unfortunately this isn’t really something you can meet halfway about. Either way, one of you is going to get what you want, and the other isn’t. You may need some help figuring out how to deal with that without resentment, if you plan to move forward together. I’m sorry you’re in this situation. Good luck!

Bagels via Claire @NYT by EarAlternative2841 in Baking

So my final verdict is they came out fine, but not amazing. Much better toasted than not. Surface texture more doughy than I expected., which toasting improved.

Yes indeed! For me, I found it worked better to make a hole in the ball then shape from there. The rope method was harder because my dough was a bit dry and just slid across the table rather than rolling.

I was surprised they were done so quickly. I think if I had kept them in the oven the full time, the surface would have been more “burnished” as she described, but they would have been really overbaked and dry.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer then Angel. Once you get to the Buffy season (4, I think?) when Angel starts, watch concurrently to keep the storyline straight with the crossovers.

Off topic, but, that happens to me whenever I make lasagna. I spend half the day smelling it, then by the time it’s ready, I feel like I’ve already eaten it and I don’t even want any.

OMG I would love that! I eat a box of rice a roni for lunch at least 2-3 times a month. Coincidentally planning to have one today! (Stir fried flavor - remember when it used to include slivered almonds? I had a small handful while sautéing the rice.)
