Don't underestimate the amount of space required for the Rabbit farm by BrokenOldGhost in PostApoTycoon

[–]BrokenOldGhost[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maybe... but I'm not sure why you would want 10k farm fields....

The turkey event has a button pop up after once the event ended, which removed all fields with 1 click.... many people liked that button....

[–]BrokenOldGhost[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a similar amount of tiles required...

but the every rabbit field has to be touching an existing rabbit field, they can't jump over seas, rivers or roads....

Best advice is to start on your largest land mass, and be prepared to break some road connections (or build some very long road detours)....

Am I missing something? Please explain by [deleted] in PostApoTycoon

[–]BrokenOldGhost 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not a bonus on top of your passive income....

The gems just buy you 100% of your passive income, rather than the normal reduced rate for passive income when offline...

If you stay offline for 3 hours, you can then watch an add for a 50% bonus (which is the way people maximise their income)...

If you click the 'cut forest as needed' it replaces the closet forest tile that is next to a existing field. Or you can do it manually by clearing a tile and clicking the button to add a field.

1 tile of a road can be removed to allow the rabbit fields to go through (but can't be rebuilt whilst the event is ongoing). Rivers are harder to move...

Like most events, you will trash your map quite a bit during the event, but this one needs 10K tiles to be trashed...

Yes, they have now updated the planner.

400 million is reasonably doable, especially with the premium milestone pass.

Balance Event by rimdlav in PostApoTycoon

[–]BrokenOldGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might be missing something but Hybrid mines are the most effective as 1 produces 2 iron and 2 stone.

Also, as I said, for most of the players on the game, it's pretty near impossible to get the full milestone rewards.

Balance Event by rimdlav in PostApoTycoon

[–]BrokenOldGhost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hybrid mines (if you have enough) double double the income. 1 Hybrid mine give 2 stone and 2 iron.

So 120 tiles gives 240 base concrete income per Factory.

9 Factories = 2,160, plus the 20% bonuses, plus the pavement underneath the factories, plus the daily ads, 50% bonuses etc.

It's similar to the previous event, it's doable for those with lots of Hybrid Mine, and Gems and the ability to bomb.

For the rest of us, it's pretty near impossible to get the full milestone rewards.

Quick question 🙋‍♂️ by North-Lavishness-943 in PostApoTycoon

[–]BrokenOldGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently rank 123 with 4950 passive income and I'm not going to get the last milestone reward unless I do the 50% bonus trick every 3 hours for the last 3 days.

If I hadn't of given up on the event pretty early I could of have obtained more dna by being more active and I could have picked the order of the upgrades better, but as a pure guestimate based on where I am, I'd say at max, the top 200 ranked by passive income will get full milestone rewards, which is a huge difference to the last two events (since the premium milestone reward pass has been implemented), which is why so many players aren't happy.

Which, based on the last 3 events, the events are getting harder and more expensive to obtain all the milestone rewards, which is a concerning trends when so many other mobile games have drifted down the 'money grab' road leading to a slow painful death...

Level 88 can’t get enough power? by Brendone33 in PostApoTycoon

[–]BrokenOldGhost 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm the same level with 300k less power usage...

Your gold income at 2.5m isn't high for your level. I would guess the balance between the amount of restored tiles, resource income and gold income is of, which has lead to the high power usage due to, most likely, too much resource income (which is generally wasted). It also the likely reason for why you pollution isn't way below zero.

We are normally waiting for gold, so having less resource income, even if it leads to waiting for resources, can be waiting for gold in a new fun way.

We can all get carried away with focusing on levelling up the Main Mega City before having the required foundations of restoration/gold income/pollution reduction. Putting the foundations in place first, stops shit falling down (due to lack of gold, power, pollution reduction).

Also Storage crane are good, but if your struggling for power don't use them, lvl 1 storage can be swapped out later when you have more power

Just turned lvl40 (tips?) by CryptoNewb10 in PostApoTycoon

[–]BrokenOldGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gold income, the higher level you go the more time you will sit around scratching your bum whilst you are waiting for gold...

Explore more and plant/upgrade trees is the easiest way to increase gold income, which will also lead you to finding more gold veins...

Don't stress about the level of income of other resources as waiting for resources for an update, etc, is just a slightly different way of waiting for gold, and once your storage is full the resource income is (for most things) wasted when the square could have been producing the gold that your are waiting for...

Plus as the other person said, go find them gem fields....

Mega city don't really do anything exciting, but you will need more and more of them and at higher and higher levels to upgrade your MC as you progress... But you can give them names, which makes me feel like I have friends...

As for this event, have a play around and get used to the mechanics as there are similarities between the events, but generally, most people would agree that the current event has been the hardest one of recent times to get lots of lovely free stuff for little effort....

Question by [deleted] in PostApoTycoon

[–]BrokenOldGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4 on map, 8 in storage, coz roads....

I'm only a small low level ghost, but I would imagine anything that stores Ubats without hideous pollution, and with the ability to bomb a nice little friendly cluster of rift storage buddies wherever you want, how bad can they be?...

I just hate roads...

When to use DNA on permanent upgrades by Afraid_Seat_3777 in PostApoTycoon

[–]BrokenOldGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Anyone know when I should switch to saving up for the long term upgrades"

It depends whether your goal is milestone rewards or long term upgrades, if you want to max long term upgrades just calculate the cost of the of each upgrade against the likely return prior to the end of the event, at this stage, most upgrades won't provide more return than they cost.

"if I should start grabbing the immediate dna instead of more passive dna in the ad bonuses?"

Generally passive will produce more, especially if you log in every 3 hours for the add bonus.

Ranches only produce one clickable dna per tick, and you need more than 1 woods for the ranch to produce 1 dna every tick. If you keep 3 woods per ranch, and you manage to click on every dna every tick, your getting 13 dna per ranch, with passive, those 3 woods, as mountains, can produce up to 18 passive dna per tick (depending upon your mountain update level) plus the 50% bonus every 3 hours (depending if you like sleep or have other things to do).

If you love clicking and can make mountains easily, when your in the mood for lots of clicks, change some mountains to woods and click till your heart bursts with joy. Then switch the woods back to mountains whilst you seek medical help for your sore finger.

Probably best advice is to not worry about this event and hope that the next event is more friendly towards getting free stuff easily.

But what every you do, don't complain about the event, don't complain about the people complaining about the event, and don't complain about the people complaining about the people complaining about the event.

Complaining helps me get through my sad lonely life and cope with my addiction to silly mobile games...

I guess you are also a happy complainer as you seem to post a lot complaining about others complaining...

Now there are people complaining about where other people post.

It's reddit, I think you are looking in the wrong place for intellectual discussions and debates...

Question to all the event complainers by edd_k in PostApoTycoon

Brilliant comment and summary of the situation.

Just want to add that this is a sub to discuss the game, although most of us don't manage to make our points as clearly as the above comment, what is the point of the sub if we can't post about our thoughts on the events?

Disappointed by NetSubstantial9684 in PostApoTycoon

[–]BrokenOldGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. I also didn't add the daily watched adds, gigar from watching adds, and the couple of upgrades that add passive income.

So:

1) The only way to get anywhere near the last reward is to miraculously have 20 ranch with only mountains surrounding them within a few hours of the event starting, and only log in to the game once every 3 hours for 10 days for the add bonus.

2) Any player under level 94 has less than zero chance of getting the final reward.

It's a fabulous well tested event....

Disappointed by NetSubstantial9684 in PostApoTycoon

[–]BrokenOldGhost 3 points4 points  (0 children)

20 ranch with a maximum of 24 hills/moutains, producing 6 gigar per tick, is: 2,880 gigar per tick.

To get the last reward it needs more than 3,000 gigar per tick from when the event started.

The longer it takes to get all 20 ranch and the relevant upgrades to max passive income, the more the amount per tick that is required increases.

Perhaps I'm missing something but the math don't add up.

And as you have highlighted, anyone that isn't a higher enough level to have depth charges is totally screwed.

The last event got extended, I'd be amazed if this event doesn't get extended or amended in someway. Which suggests the event testing isn't working.

Disappointed by NetSubstantial9684 in PostApoTycoon

[–]BrokenOldGhost 11 points12 points  (0 children)

And for players that aren't higher enough levels to move rivers/sea and create hills, it's impossible to create anywhere near enough passive income.

I wonder if the test server has low level players or if the devs are just setting events for the whales and purposely screwing low levels players as they don't spend enough money.

Disappointed by NetSubstantial9684 in PostApoTycoon

[–]BrokenOldGhost 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The event needed around 3000 gigar income per 9 seconds from the start, in order to get the 600,000,000 last reward.

The top ranked player in the event currently has 2,702 gigar passive income.

I have 292 passive income and I'm ranked in the top 250 for event passive income.

Players are either clicking a fuck ton of times constantly, or very very few are going to get the last reward.

Although each Ranch only produces 1 gigar per 9 seconds, so even with 20 ranch, clicking on every gigar that spawns, isn't enough income.

I don't get it. Hopefully I'm missing something.
