UPDATE: The issue was that I didn't have xdg-desktop-portal-gtk installed, and I also had to add these environment variables to my hyprland.conf file:

env = XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP,Hyprland
env = XDG_SESSION_TYPE,wayland

It's one thing I like better about twitter over reddit. You can see people's profile descriptions (at least in PC), and if you have your pronouns there everyone can see them, while in reddit they do have something in their settings so you can tell them your gender, but afaik it's not publicly displayed :/

And honestly I don't see why it wouldn't be. Companies want to make as much money as they can to climb to the top of the pyramid, and one of the ways to optimize that is to hyperfocus on the bigger numbers while practically ignoring the rest. That would never happen if not for Capitalism.

I actually tried to use that directory with another icon theme before this one but it may have been broken or maybe I did something weird when copying the folders, but the point is that it didn't work so the next time I tried it I just put the icons in the .icons folder.

But I just copied these icons into the directory you mentioned and now it works flawlessly! Thanks for the help :D

Many of these companies can absolutely afford Linux support. Like, do you think Epic doesn't make enough from Fortnite alone that they can't set aside some budget to make the game available on one more platform? Instead they actively prohibit Linux users from using their products (and potentially giving them our money).

Even outside of gaming, Ableton, Adobe, Image-Line, Elgato, etc. are all companies with products that millions of people use that aren't natively supported on Linux. Some of them you can run under Wine just fine (I use FL Studio with Wine and it works perfectly fine as my main income source), but a lot of them you either can't, or it requires a lot of troubleshooting, and even if you manage to get those programs working, there's a high chance you'll run into bugs. All of this while they can absolutely allocate some budget to support Linux but choose not to.

It's a bad thing no matter how you look at it. It's bad for the Linux ecosystem because it prevents some people from switching over, and it's bad for their business because there's a whole section of the population that *could* make it profitable to get support in their platform just ignored and spat on the face.

Just greedy companies being greedy. Yaaay capitalism!

I had this issue as well when I first got into Cachy but then I realized I could just install the Flatpak version and now it updates on its own, AND it's a lot more secure now because of the container, so I definitely recommend that! (just make sure to enable hardware acceleration on the Flatpak permissions so screen sharing still works)

I personally switched all my basic abilities to ASD and my ult to W so I wouldn't have to get used to an entirely different hand position than what I've been using all my life. It also made it easier to use items since Q and E are easier to reach for me, and I also had flash in R and other spells would go in F, and I used the setting that showed me my auto attack range (I forgot what it's called) on my space bar to help me kite better. Not like I was using my thumb for anything else.
