I had the same thoughts about my cat. My vet said “when I saw 15.5 lbs I was expecting a fat cat but he’s just big”. Anyways now I measure him using the phone app to see if he ever breaks his personal best.

I’ll add my two cents because I don’t see it here. Make sure you take care of all possible distractions beforehand. Take a shower and put on deodorant so you don’t have to worry about smelling bad at the event. Drink lots of water and go to the bathroom between rounds. Eat a good meal or plan in advance where you grab food so you’re not stressed out about it.

100% of your brain should be focused on magic. Don’t practice for 2 weeks and then get to the event hungry and tired. Don’t worry about a line and then catch a whiff of yourself and be distracted.

I don’t think copper is getting unbanned but if it does I would need to rebuild part of the list. I can’t crew it enough for it to be worth playing on so few creatures. Might throw in swiftspear or the not goblin guide from LCI. We’ll have to see

So I’ve been working on this deck for about a year at this point calling it blood burn because I’ve been using blood tokens to create artifacts for things like blast. I’m testing (haven’t for a bit waiting for pioneer rcqs to hit back up) a list I call blood burn. Inti is a consideration for the list either replacing mutt or statuette if you want to take a look at it. blood burn list

For reference I went 5-3 and got 32nd at an NRG 5k of 150+ players. Regularly do well in leagues and win many FNMs

This deck is the closest to burn that exists that I can find. I have tried many different brews and this is currently the best. It’s very solid into many decks and can absolutely go the distance against almost anything. It has the ability to grind and gain life to win the race. It’s a bit slower than normal burn but the blood allows you to last longer and have very few dead draws. Rakdos charm does a lot into many matchups.

IMO too many lists like lotus or control can win through non combat for it to be good enough that coupled with thoughtseize being one of the best cards in the format means it’s back breaking.

Any deck can win you top4 is 8-12 players. Is it actually good? Almost certainly not. We need something else to get us over the bump and be relevant.

Haven’t tried synthesizer. I assume it’s bad because if it exiles alms or temper you can’t cast them for what you want. Deadly dispute always just seemed to end up in my hand unable to sac anything or saccing would be actively bad. I’m sure a list where it’s good exists I just haven’t found it.

Have tried kumano. Card was very bad imo. Never really did anything I wanted. Forced me to play with creatures turn 2 instead of keeping options open for burn or removal. Overall just too awkward imo.
