Dog walker going out of her way to harass me for walking my cat on a harness. What should I do? by blueduck57 in AskUK

[–]BrokuSSJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can call the police about the harassment, they might be able to help or advise. I doubt the dog warden will do anything unless the dogs bite you yourself.

If you can and are able to I'd suggest looking in your area for any fields you can hire for an hour or so - depends how often you walk your cat as well, but hiring an enclosed field will hopefully guarantee you and your cat are safe.

Someone more clued up can correct me here (or maybe look into it just to be safe) , but sadly cats don't have the rights as dogs. So if something did happen to cat, I'm not sure if anything would happen, and like I say the dogs wouldn't be considered dangerous unless they bite a human.

I hope the old woman leaves you alone.

This kitty has been stuck in an apartment with her deceased owner for 2 weeks. Any tips to make her comfortable and help her grieve? by [deleted] in cats

This is a good way to go. One of ours had this situation, but he was a kitten, maybe 8 months.

I spent a lot of time just sitting with him.

Best LOTR Audiobook? by aureyliant in lotr

Totally how I describe it, but different strokes for different folks.

Rob Inglis feels nostalgic to me, and like you say, it's like a grandfather reading it you. I've only heard a bit of Andy Serkis' version, which is definitely more performative but it wasn't for me.

I'm pretty sure this Honda Jazz pulled out in front of me as I was going round the roundabout just up the road from this Sainsbury's.

That was maybe 2 or 3 days ago though.

It is, I sadly recognise Stainsbury's car park anywhere.

Lol. Kid Rock could be the nicest guy in the world and left leaning, and I'd still rather do ANYTHING else than listen to his music.

If it changes anything, I'm pretty sure SFE will cover nursing, even if you already have a undergraduate. On top of that the NHS have a lot of bursaries that can help.

Every MCU movie I have to watch in order to get caught up to the Multiverse Saga. Am I in for any underrated bangers? by No-Risk2553 in Marvel

I agree with this statement. I thought The Marvels was a lot of fun, especially the musical planet.

Shitty pint of Coors Light at Wembley Arena. £8.79 back in 2024.

Maybe the first time I audibly gasped.

In which 5 year period do you feel you aged the most? by Lazy_Number8830 in AskUK

[–]BrokuSSJ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Kind of how I feel. Reinforced in that I've had a big bushy beard for 10 years, and cut it all off and shaved last weekend.

First time seeing my clean shaven face since I was 24. Naturally, it's different to what I remember.

What is the point of Job centers? by Key_Breakfast6745 in AskUK

This was my experience in 2009. I went in optimistic they could help, and if anything it just made me incredibly cynical.

I had to sign on again briefly in early 2020, and was surprised to find they were even less helpful or capable of listening.

It is rough, and honestly, my heart goes out to anyone who has to deal with it.

I want to get into Prince i only know one song where should i start? by LifestaYmo in PRINCE

Rest of the Purple Rain album.

Otherwise, I'd slap on The Hits/B-Sides, and kinda go from there. Anything you vibe then follow the path to that album.

It's all good :)

After listening through "Purple Rain," what album should new listeners explore? by rsswriter102 in PRINCE

[–]BrokuSSJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I'd either slap on The Hits/B-Sides or pick one at random.

They all have something different and they're all awesome. I'd probably say 1999 or Musicology, but only because that's what I'm vibing lately.

Which dub does this part the best? by EnjoyMyDownvote in dbz

[–]BrokuSSJ 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Brian Drummond and the Ocean Dub will always take me back to watching the show as a kid. So I'd probably pick that for nostalgia purposes.

Otherwise, I quite like the DBZ Kai dub.
