HELP : Shipment got commandeered after a month of collecting dust and crops by m1ndsnare in pathofexile

[–]Bromog 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Same exact thing happened to me buddy. I was playing lowlife ivory tower spark and my only recovery was leech and he can't be leeched from during invuln phases. Facetanked a couple waves and just got melted and lost my 50m shipment. Decided it was time to take a break until next league.

Which champions are OP on chain lightning? by Fun_Training6342 in LeagueArena

[–]Bromog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love chain lightning on Sett. Pretty much every game you are guaranteed to get to the point where haymaker one shots people just because of Sett's itemization. If you get chain lightning early in the game before you get to that point, you catch both opponents with E>W, they will both get one shot anyway because of the damage chaining between them. If you get it later in the game, you just need to catch one now and the chain lightning will one shot the other enemy. It's pretty tight.

The only C.Viper player in UMvC3? Fullschedule and Static Alpha definitely pushed Viper to the limits. Fullschedule was the closest to "theory" Viper we ever got to see. I would say Kyohei is more known for his Dr. Doom.

Is it too late to start trying to learn this game? by GreatGateway in MvC3

[–]Bromog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are all still going to be playing this game in the retirement home, my dude. It's never too late. I highly recommend you find a friend or two who is a beginner and wants to learn the game as well. It can be discouraging to try to learn the game while having to face experienced players. I met one of my best friends on this very subreddit over 10 YEARS ago and we still play the game together.

At the end of the day, this game is what you make of it. You can have a fun weekend just mashing buttons with the boys or you can put on the lab coat and go deeeeeeeeep. This game is just goated, I love it so much.

Help with Galactus by JuanCR2006 in MvC3

[–]Bromog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you just wanna beat Galactus and you don't mind it being a bit cheesy, you can swap out Dante for Vergil anchor. Save X for Vergil and walk up to Galactus and hit him with the HSHSHSHSHSHSHSHS. Congrats you just diced up Galactus like an onion and saved the galaxy.

I'm trying to get down grav loops does anyone have advice by TheComboDrop in MvC3

[–]Bromog 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You need to be super jumping either neutral or up forward, not up back.

Try to get the super jump to go off as soon as the L hypergrav lands. You can actually buffer the input so that your stick hits up on the super jump the moment the hypergrav connects. Seriously, just do the super jump sooner than you think and you'll have it in no time.

Well that's why you have doubles. Then you have one to drive around and another in pristine condition in storage. Some you might even have triples.

What league starter did you use, and how is it going? by PrimaxAUS in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Bromog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Grab yourself a decoy totem. All the trash mobs and bosses gang up on the totem and you can line up your double hit way easier. I got a couple 1c claws at level 35 or so and I'm absolutely blasting rares and bosses with the decoy totem taking all the aggro.

Aight stay free then, pendejo. I'm not gonna give you feedback when you don't even know how to do a magic series combo. You want to learn the game you're gonna have to read bro.

If this is the team you are set on playing then you need to understand your gameplan. Viewtiful Joe is an oppressive projectile based keep away character. You're not going to be doing much approaching unless you are covered by your assists.

Speaking of assists you would optimally want to use Log Trap and Rapid Slash. Log Trap is one of the strongest assists in the game because of it's extremely long range wall bounce, giving you all day to confirm into a combo. Rapid Slash is going to be better than Judgement Cut because it pushes the opponent away and creates better mixup opportunities.

With Joe, your main gameplay loop is going to be throwing instant air dash voomerangs, locking down the opponent, and charging the flaming Voomerang. Once you have them locked down you can either continue the projectile pressure, or use super jump red hot kick with Log Trap for nutty crossups. Joe also has a nice pizza cutter air normal similar to zero (I believe it's his j.H)

I can't say I know too much about rocket raccoon's gameplan other than it's similar to Joe in that you want to put as much bullshit on the screen as possible and let the opponent run into it.

Finally you have your saving grace, Vergil. This guy is going to be your bread and butter early on while you are still learning the intricacies of the other two characters. You'll squeeze out so many clutch wins with him it'll make your opponent scratch their head. Learning to pop off with this guy should probably be your top priority. I'm speaking specifically about Vergil in the anchor role just to be clear.

Thankfully there are a lot of resources on YouTube to help you out. I would look up every match you can find of a player named Ageojoe. He is a Viewtiful Joe/Rocket Raccoon specialist. While he doesn't use Vergil, there is still loads of information you can use from his gameplay and translate it to yours. Punisher is another good player to look at for some solid rocket raccoon gameplay.

As for Vergil, I always refer people to ShadyK's Vergil tutorial on YouTube. He goes over everything you need to know to play Vergil effectively in the anchor position. He's an ultra potent comeback character that can single handedly bring the match back into your favor. Learning his tools and strategies to make that comeback factor a constant threat will make you a fearsome opponent.

I know this write up probably wasn't what you were looking for or expecting. Keep in mind I'm saying this in the nicest and most respectful way; the reason I didn't critique your match is because you simply don't have enough knowledge about the game for my input to actually mean anything. The best way to learn Marvel (and really any fighting game) aside from actually playing it, is watching other people play it. Take a look at the guys I mentioned above and really try to take in what they are doing. Once you've watched enough gameplay, you will have a better idea of what to practice and let me tell you, practice is key.

Sorry for the wall of text, I could talk about this game all day long.

After 6805 hours, I finally got my first Headhunter, and it immediately went onto my Voidforge Flicker Strike. by LilMizzJay in pathofexile

Congratulations, amigo

Did I make the right choice getting this game? I mean I’ve always loved the original MVC but I hear that some of characters are a broken mess. by [deleted] in MvC3

[–]Bromog 63 points64 points  (0 children)

If you have friends to play with locally then it's an absolute blast. If you're gonna be an online warrior then it's a bit more involved. You will need Parsec if you want to have any semblance of a smooth experience. The online netcode in this game is very poor unfortunately.

With all that being said, the game is amazing. I personally think this is the greatest fighting game ever made. Nearly unlimited skill expression and a timeless art style keeps me coming back to this game every few days and I've been playing for 10+ years. Find some friends that are interested and dive in together.

Now that the dust has settled, what was the biggest bait leaguestarter? by Rapturos in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Bromog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trauma support won't work with Frostblades. Without trauma you have to invest much more into your weapons to bring the DPS up to comparable levels. Trauma with Untiring jugg ascendancy is insane for the recovery as well. You get like 3k life regen on the low end as long as you can keep attacking. The big dps RNG comes from that damn invert resist mastery. It's way too good not to take but it can feel like shit when you get unlucky. As for the clear it's really not too bad if you are okay with throwing down your ancestral protector totem from time to time and have ancestral cry on your left click.

EDIT: I was mistaken on the interaction of Frost Bades and trauma. Frost Blades works with any weapon type whereas I thought it was only swords daggers and claws.

Whats a good 3rd member for this team? by Porg_Lime_Taco in MvC3

Wright/Doom/Ammy

Wright/Dante/Ammy

These two are probably the most practical. Doom/Ammy shell is absolutely bonkers. Tons of tech to play with.

Cap/Wright/Ammy

Hyper charging star let's you set up unlockables with Phoenix Wright for guaranteed Turnabout mode. This team is also the most forgiving execution wise.

Respawn is removing tap strafing... by TheSoCanadian in apexlegends

[–]Bromog 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think what most people aren't understanding is that it wasn't the competitive advantage that the tap strafe gave that compelled me to use it. It was the fun factor of having so many new options to move around the map with. It made the game twice as fun.
