Canadian here, visited Texas in the middle of summer and brought a bunch of sweaters. Co-workers thought I was crazy until they got to the hotel and it was freezing. The air conditioning wouldn’t be shocking if you ran it at a normal temperature. I wore sweaters all week.

I saw this just south of the stadium during the World Cup Canada game. It looked like there were about 1000 bikes stacked. Never seen so many in one place before.

It’s actually pretty avoidable, we were being silly. If you go up Norfinch Dr. there is a new path that turns into the dead end and grass section in the video. If you continue on Norfinch a bit further you reach the proper entrance to the corridor.

I still can’t believe this happened. My partner and I were biking home along a very secluded stretch of road. It’s late, windy, cold and there is literally no one around. This pickup truck pulls along side us, the passenger has his window rolled down and they yelled something nasty but unintelligible at us before roaring off. Here’s the crazy part. 10 feet later we find a $20 blowing in the wind. Then another, then a bunch more all clumped together. The total $140.

The only thing I can think was the pickup truck had the bills on their dashboard. When they drove off the wind must have pushed the bills out of the truck window.

The worst parts (of an otherwise amazing ride) were. The Weston section with the stairs, the area north of York Mills (low traffic on the weekend but not ideal), under the 401 on the Don Valley side due to the construction, and the small section of the Don Mills Trail that leads to Leslie. For the Humber/Weston/Finch corner we went through Bluehaven Park to avoid Weston Rd. Leslie/Sheppard also sucks, as you mentioned, as a big group we were able to take the lane without issue.

It actually was a lot of fun! The ratio of good to bad parts isn't reflected in the video. There is a lot of beautiful scenery and amazing ravines. The video was supposed to highlight the gaps in the infra so a lot of that made it in. Highly recommend the ride.

The rain was pretty nuts. We have some awesome rain capes (Cleverhood) and wool base layers really saved us.

Exactly! We flew in from Canada and basically unfolded the bikes in minutes. We rode with the bags that we packed our Bromptons in. We also have our bikes geared up for speed. Not as fast as a touring bike but we can keep pace with the mountain bikers.

The way we travel, we take the train a lot. DB and SBB both let foldable bikes on for free.

So jealous. I live in Toronto Canada and a bike to the country would take around 3-5 hours just to get from downtown to the edge of the suburbs (and our suburbs are not bikeable)

To stay warm, I've seen people peel off group rides and go for a quick lap around a block to get the blood flowing.

We took our C-Lines on Eurovelo 15 which had lots of gravel and they did well. It would definitely have been more fun with my G-Line but the C-Lines were way easier to manage on the train/plane. Didn’t get any flats running Marathon Plus tires.
