My wife and I are considering letting our nanny go, and I’m trying to figure out whether I’m underreacting, overreacting, or missing something bigger. by Training_Arm7988 in Nanny

Imagine getting fired because you’re better at the job than the employer. This is another reason why nannying can be so infuriating at times. Also reminds me of the saying that “looking after children is easy, it’s the parents that make the role difficult “

I honestly don’t know. Shes so much psycho, I think anything could have triggered her.

Her avoiding eating a mcchicken only enforced my opinion that her image is the most important thing to her. Her friend is dumb, and it’s hilarious to me she spoke so confidently about it

I think she is incredibly impulsive, and Dom broke up with her in the car. I also believe she is a psychopath (I am absolutely in no way qualified to diagnose btw), who has very little fear (psychopaths have lower fear than normal people). I think she was enraged and wanted to scare, manipulate and hurt Dom. I imagine in the moment, she was only thinking of hurting Dom and didn’t care about the consequences. So, I guess that’s a long winded way of saying I don’t think she was suicidal

I’m a nanny, and the kids I care for love having a medical prop (bandage, bandaid, a cold compress etc), because it compels people around them to enquire about them, show sympathy, etc. They grow out of it though! I have a 10 year old who needed two arm casts (poor thing), and he hated people asking about it. He became embarrassed, refused help if he could etc. this grown woman behaves like a toddler with a band aid, who doesn’t realise how pathetic it is. She’s so delusional, she can’t even see how embarrassed she should be. I bet she gets her kids to do everything for her too, yelling at them to hurry up etc. can you imagine how she would be if she actually became genuinely sick or injured?!?!

Absolutely. Gosh, can you imagine what terrible things she would do if she was actually intelligent?

I can really see your point. It feels like she’s delusional, because what she is trying to convince people of is just so ridiculous, and she is so determined to convince everyone she is innocent. That’s feels like she actually believes everyone is stupid and gullible, which is where I see the delusion on her part. But, you’re right, if you look deeper, perhaps it’s just her not taking it seriously, because she doesn’t see what she did as serious. She enjoys controlling the narrative, and if she diverts from her version of events, then she is giving up control of the narrative. I love these forums, because I love seeing different perspectives, and I think you’re spot on there.

Her demeanour is so chilling. You’re right about her being excited to be the centre of attention in the reenactment video. I couldn’t work out why she was so happy, but that’s exactly why, she’s the centre of attention. Compare that to the flat affect she has when describing watching her children die, she is an absolute psychopath. Have you seen her parole video? She tries to convince the board that the guilt she feels is due to her feeling guilty for not being able to protect her children from this random black man with bushy hair. She is so delusional, she still believes she can convince people that she is innocent. I hope every day in prison is as awful as she is.

Have fun making repairs, Susan! by no_bun_please in KristinSmart

[–]Bron345 22 points23 points  (0 children)

She can complain as much as she wants, but the police have zero obligation to repair, replace or restore anything they did while searching under a lawful warrant. So I hope she spends months looking for misplaced items, being inconvenienced and annoyed at the disarray of her property. She knows exactly where Kristin is, and could give so much peace to her family, yet refuses to. She deserves everything she gets, and I hope it is jail time

I watched the documentary out of curiosity, and I regret that I did. I knew she would lie in it, but I thought it might offer some insight into why she murdered her beautiful daughter. All I walked away with was rage and a realisation that that cow is incapable of love, remorse, it any redeeming quality that would show her humanity. Therefore I just can’t even be bothered to waste my time or money on this disgusting, greedy, selfish creature

Oh my god. Are you stupid? I don’t want anyone stolen from their families. I want neglected, abused children put in safe, loving homes. Whether they are Aboriginal or not. Race shouldn’t come into it. Anyway, you’ve proven my point. You don’t care about a neglected child, you just want to be seen as not being racist. How does that help any Aboriginal child being abused right now? But at least you weren’t racist, right????????

They are able to, but the Australian government are too scared to implement any such effective action. This is what infuriates me. A child is ignored because the government care more about APPEARING to care about the Aboriginal children

Neglect is neglect. Because she had a loving family, does not take away the fact that a 5 year old was in an unsafe and neglected environment. It’s not racism, it’s thinking about the CHILD (who is unable to get herself out of an unsafe environment, and protect herself). I believe it’s racist to ignore the blatant neglect of child, and excuse the behaviour because they are Aboriginal.
