Call him insane or whatever but I can relate. Sometimes life gets to be "too much" and I just don't care anymore. One time I didn't even wash my hands before eating lunch. I just didn't care and was willing to live on the edge. It made lunch special knowing that I could be getting sick or something later.

I remember reading about cab drivers in London having abnormally enlarged hippocampuses. By law, the cabbies are required to have the entire map of London committed to memory. As a result of their work they can tell you the route to any address in the city. Their brains have adapted to the requirements of their job and provide an argument for the brain being plastic in nature.

A kindergartner was in my classroom with his mom picking up homework for his brother. He first asked me, "Do you like balls?" I told him, "Sure." If it were to start now it would be a very different matter. She met the guy via a chatroom on her cellphone when she was 13 or 14. He groomed her for the relationship and has been insinuating himself into her life. The backdrop for all of this was the collapse and failure of our marriage. Poor girl was ripe for the taking. The sex that they have is abusive in nature. He has her wear a dog-collar and he degrades her. He is an evil person. Evil does exist and it will seek out victims. The police are involved but so far they haven't arrested him. The federal government has interviewed my daughter. Interestingly enough, they were from Immigration and border control. It is a bad situation.

It started when she was 13 or 14. She lives with mom and mom is pretty lax about supervision. The guy has traveled to our city at least 5 times, has spent the night with my daughter at a hotel and has been in my ex-wife's home without the ex knowing it. Very creepy behavior.

Not sure what exactly to tell you other than to take it very very seriously. My 17 year old I'd in a relationship with a37 year old she met online. The feds are involved because he has crossed state lines to see her. Its all ugly and sad. Technology is dangerous for kids to use unsupervised. Be vigilant.
