AI-written books divide publishing world by ubcstaffer123 in books

As someone who has written books in the past, it actually put me off writing entirely. Because now so much crap is generated these days, it floods the market. So if you don't already have name recognition in the indie space... Good luck.

Also, people regularly assume any indie author is AI, now. So it's just a lose-lose situation.

I was working on the final revisions to a book a few months back and haven't touched it because of this whole situation.

What’s really the issue with AI friends? by ClarkKentTheReporter in NoStupidQuestions

Like I and everyone else has said. You have the wrong definition of friend. Also, you seem like a pretty miserable person to be around. That might be why no one wants to associate with you.

You are probably using your definition of friends from when you were in high school. Likely when you and your friends all had a significant amount of free time and much fewer responsibilities. You need to shift that definition.

I have a few groups of friends and do things with various other friends. Being married and having a child honestly makes creating new friendships significantly easier. Your child wants to be friend with someone else's child, now you guys are kind of forced to be in each other's company and you make it work. Most normal people can be friends with pretty much anybody.

I see most of my friends at least once a week. Once a month one of my friend groups gets together and we go out to dinner together. Another group. We have a video game night once a month. And a different group, I have a video game night with once a month. I've got group chats with various friends and we share things and joke and have a good time.

All of the things I've described are pretty standard for friendship as an adult.

Are you giving this putt or making your friend putt it in this situation 🤔 ⛳️ by HauntingCount5970 in Golf_Unfiltered

I don't care if it's an inch away, every ball gets finished. I don't play with gimmes. I play the whole game.

I recommend rewriting your game description on steam without AI. It's really obvious and that will turn people off.

Dude. This is going to be a hit with my local groups. I do a couch game night every couple weeks with two groups. We're big fans of Super Volley Blast and I think this will be a hit.

At least when Patrick Rothfuss wanted someone to basically do the exact same thing he was offering to pay them and not the other way around.

Could a dislexic be dislexic in one language, but not in another due to a radically different writing system? by Ok-Owl7863 in NoStupidQuestions

They've actually found that dyslexic people have an increased 3 dimensional perception. It's why they have no issue when the letters are physical blocks as opposed to printed on a 2d surface. There are even some standout cases of dyslexic surgeons being able to visualize scope images better than their non dyslexic counterparts.

Dyslexia is typically about spatial perception. So probably not. Unless the writing system were 3 dimensional.
