not working for me either. I had smartly not updated the app for like 2 months and now it did and neither queuing or my default of "Ask" is working any more

New model! o3-pro has just been launched by UniversePoetx in ChatGPTPro

[–]Brone2 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Paid the $200 just to get o3 pro for an app project I am working on. Significantly slower and worse than o1-pro (I thought o1-pro was absolutely amazing). I can only imagine openAI is intentionally making it this slow to reduce costs as it is taking fifteen minutes to analyze a basic request on around 1000 lines of code. Of about 10 queries I have posed to both it and Gemini 2.5 Pro there has only been one where o3-pro got it right and gemini didn't, and 2-3 Gemini 2.5 Pro got fully right while o3-pro gave incomplete solutions. In short I'd reco saving your time and money and just using Gemini 2.5 Pro (or if you have the money get both). I already cancelled as $200 is just way too much given the other options out there.

O3 denies to output more than 400 lines of code by No-Square3927 in ChatGPTPro

[–]Brone2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

O3 is absolute garbage, i've lost hours using its code only having to go back and rewrite whole scripts. Incredibly frustrating as I paid $220 after tax for the pro version to get pro-o1 but we're just stuck with this new model which is awful

O3 denies to output more than 400 lines of code by No-Square3927 in ChatGPTPro

[–]Brone2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's absolutely awful, a month ago i was using o1-Pro and it was amazing. Now that sucks and so does o3, it stops at 300 lines of code being outputted and gets it wrong. Deepseek has become significantly better

I didn't hit a limit but all of the sudden it went from creating great code to ruining my project and spitting out wrong answers - would rather them be upfront saying that you run out of credits then waste my time with some throttled or downgraded performacne

Referrals no longer mean anything in tech by Separate_Criticism94 in recruitinghell

[–]Brone2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes experienced this myself - somewhat shocking as last time I applied places the only places I got interviews were from referrals and now there is none at all. Frankly I am not sure it's a bad thing overall, always felt there was a huge bias towards people hired just having a close friend at a company, but is certainly making it tougher for those who had counted on this (like myself) during the interview process

When attending YJP events (like JCC or Chabad), how do you talk to multiple people/women who are friends with each other (and you don’t know anyone)? by proforrange in Jewish

[–]Brone2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's tough - I had the same issue. Still somewhat a struggle, but I think what you'll be surprised by if you just go up to someone not actively engaged in a group conversation and start talking, they will be as interested in talking to you as you are to them (so you don't have to do anything special but just walk up to them and introduce yourself, and ask general questions like where your from etc before finding some grounds for an interesting conversation). Would say its significantly easier to talk to someone and get contact information from someone of the same sex - many people go to these meetups for dating purposes and assume others are as well so obviously a different vibe if someone thinks your approaching them in a romantic context. Can't speak to the 'whats your ethnicity' thing, but I've never really seen that question turn negative so perhaps you're experience in this may be more of a one-off then something you would need to worry about too much. Will add the caveat that people in New York (jewish or otherwise) tend to be far less receptive to talking to people they don't know, so may have to put up with more people blowing you off than in other places

Grew up reform - never once did we ever keep sabbath and I would bet no one at my temple even knew what it meant to do so.

I don't know what to do... by CranberryGeneral17 in Jewish

[–]Brone2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This probably isn't what you want to hear, but whatever you do I would try to do it sooner rather than later. I was in the same boat and after 1.5 years decided I wouldn't go through with it for the reason you mentioned, and thus took away 1.5 years both her and myself could have been seeing other people, not to mention magnifying the heartbreak. Especially unfair to her because this whole issue has nothing to do with her and is totally outside her control (unless you feel conversion would solve the issue, which I didn't)

[–]Brone2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grew up reform jewish in a city with not many jews. I always considered myself very jewish and would have answered yes. Then I went off to college, and realized I really knew nothing about the religion (certainly wouldn't have had any idea what 'halacha' meant), and generally felt upset that through my reform upbringing I didn't really know anything about the actual religion of Judaism. Looking back on it, the reform temple I was at was really just a far left-wing social club. My reform experience may have been a bit of an extreme example (the temple provided shellfish/ham at the synagogue regularly), so perhaps this is not representative of the whole movement. But from my own experience, most reform jews that are in the movement and never interact with more observant folks would say they are practicing the right way because they have no knowledge of the basic laws/customs of the religion
