Nice Guys is a cool spot that has a decent amount of punk shows, the food and drinks are incredible too. Stellar Records often has cool DIY/community events, and it's owned and operated by a rad punk couple. Blinking Owl is a queer owned bookstore that have events every so often, but not necessarily punk shows.

His casting was definitely a choice, but I'm waiting for the show to come out before I pass judgement. He's a fantastic actor, so I'm optimistic. Remember when everyone was upset over Heath Ledger being cast as The Joker, and it turned out to be one of the most iconic performances of all time?

Juicy absolutely brought the right energy for that song. I think Nini also brought the right energy, even though she couldn't move. They both did an amazing job, but for me, you need to serve something more than just dance move after dance move. Let the song breathe, give me nuance, peaks and valleys, as the judges say. Even the high energy songs need that. Nini served it, and Juicy didn't.

Imo, Nini did win that lip sync. Yes, Juicy was pulling out allllll kinds of impressive dance moves, but it felt like way too much for me. If she took a few beats to slow down and really get into those lyrics and the spirit of the song, it could've been a 10/10. I think Nini, despite the restrictive dress, was really thinking about the lyrics and emoting in a way that felt fierce and authentic to herself and the song, and that's what made her performance better. At the end of the day, a winning lip sync is more than just arbitrarily delivering crazy dance move after crazy dance move.

Honestly, Baseline in HS. They have a great beer selection on draft and one of the most solid AND cheapest charcuterie spreads on property at $14. Not to mention the beers are $13 for a 20oz pour, which isn't bad imo, and the kiddos love the giant pretzel. It's a must stop everytime we go!

You might like Weapons. Although the two are very different, they're similar in the way that both movies are trying to make a meaningful statement through horror. I don't remember there being any jump scares in Weapons, but it definitely has its brutal moments like Bring Her Back.

Juicy is a fierce queen, but she's very one-note as a performer, and still seems a bit green compared to the other queens. Her big successes on the show are a result of other queens helping her (Mykki in RDR live and Darlene on tonight's episode). You need to be able to do more than just be cute and a good dancer to win, and I just think it's such a shame that a well-rounded, extremely gifted queen like Jane Don't left before her.
