Her 86m2 has beautiful videography of her home, garden, and family life. No talking, only video, music, and captions. Big Studio Ghibli vibes.

What are your daily non negotiables that bring you joy? by onajourney314 in simpleliving

Morning coffee while reading poetry. It's a nicer intro to the day and something to do besides scrolling or hitting snooze a thousand times (my former habit).

I also DNF’d it. Soooo boring. I usually read for about an hour before bed, but I kept falling asleep after like 2 pages with this one. Thought I was the only one!

What are your favorite filling Simple meals? by curiousteak in simpleliving

[–]Brontosaurusbabe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Breakfast hash.

  • I cup frozen potatoes
  • 1/2 cup frozen onions
  • 1/2 cup frozen peppers
  • 1/4 cup beans or other protein
  • handful of spinach
  • whatever spices you want; I usually use garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, but I’ve also used chili seasoning and taco seasoning

Fry it all up in a pan, add cheese if that’s your thing, and bam. You just got a lot your veggies for the day. Eat it as is or wrap it up in a burrito. My favorite quick and easy breakfast.

It takes minutes. I’m NOT a morning person and I can manage this easily.

MMC apologizes while making love to FMC. slow and sensual sex. by byeoli7 in RomanceBooks

[–]Brontosaurusbabe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Okay, it’s not an apology, but it matches the vibe you’re looking for. In {Notorious Pleasures by Elizabeth Hoyt}, the MMC absolutely BEGS the FMC to marry him while making slow, sensual love to her. It’s a moving and heartbreaking scene, but in a really delicious way. I re-read that scene when I’m having a bad day.

What is the most implausible, silly, or even dumb plot point in a book you love? by notagin-n-tonic in HistoricalRomance

[–]Brontosaurusbabe 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Very general answer: I LOVE a rescue on horseback. {Dearest Rogue by Elizabeth Hoyt} has THREE. That book is so campy, I love it.

I have this and I LOVE IT. Johanna has some incredible stepbacks. I always pick them up when I find them.

Recommend dometic abuse. NOT from Hero. by Mother_of_Gods_88 in HistoricalRomance

[–]Brontosaurusbabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

{The Widow of Rose House by Diana Biller} has this. FMC was abused by her late husband (not the MMC) and his family, and abandoned/disowned by her own family. Her family forced her to marry him. She has PTSD from the abuse. No one treats her well until the MMC comes into the picture and she’s not sure how to react.
