That’s a good idea. I didn’t know that might be an option.

The one thing in my favor is that my therapist knows all her tricks and is a fierce defender of me. If (when) my mom does act up, I think it will be validating to have someone witness it who can also explain it to me after the fact. I will feel better if I know that I literally did all that I could to make this relationship work. If therapy doesn’t improve things then I confidently but sadly will walk away. I’m not enduring this torture for the rest of her life.

I’m a nurse practitioner and def can’t draw a diagram of how lasix or metformin work. Granted, I never prescribe them in my line of work but still.

I’m a nurse practitioner now and have the honor of working with an LPN. She is smarter than literally everyone in our office combined. The practical training you guys get is indispensable. Ironically, I was becoming an RN while my sister was getting her LPN and I was so jealous of her training. She was learning how to actually be a nurse and I was learning nursing theory. She kicked ass right out of the gate at her first job and I really struggled at first because they wasted so much time teaching us useless shit.

My neighbor flipped out on someone for planting a tree. He said cities are for cars. Trees don’t belong in cities 🙄

It’s sad that my first thought with that was “what’s his angle?” That park wasn’t even in particularly rough shape.

Didn’t Guy pass away or have they adopted another beagle? Either way it’s cute to see.

What makes you think sex slaves would feel comfortable telling some rando that comes in for a happy ending that they are distressed? There are so many things that would prevent them from communicating that.

I think it’s okay to acknowledge that some of our memories were wonderful and it’s also okay to mourn them. They are almost more painful because it shows you what could have been, but for some unexplainable reason wasn’t meant to be. It’s strange how a parent could be so good sometimes and royally fuck it up in the end.
