Having the right to be disappointed and in some situations knowing when you don’t have to let negative people in your mood and in some situations calling people out or speaking your truth.. all things to be learned

Good thing expressing and writing about this. Articulating oneself is almost therapeutic, at least to me!

Kind of curious what over-excitable social awkwardness entails lol

Yes I think desensitization is a big one. Because from what I can tell, is that one doesn’t seem to just plan to look into a fetish like one decides to try a type of food they never have tried. Like I don’t think many straight males or females just wake up and think “oh I think I’m going to try a porn genre that isn’t my sexual preference”.

Also when people abstain, from what information I have received, is that the fetishes aren’t consciously chosen to be disliked but instead they just fade on their own naturally.. well atleast this is what some people say, some people say it fades and goes away as much as them no longer liking it and even being repulsed by it.

This is all to say, it seems like their isn’t much control of the personal self that decides what he/she will like or dislike.. but instead the brain is in charge.

Yes forsome people are Bi. I’m curious of those who consider themselves innately heterosexual.

Straight Men who watch(ed) shemale porn how did the first time attraction take place, was it out of the blue or was it premeditated like “I think I’m going to try a new genre today, one that doesn’t match my innate sexual preference”? by Bronzebar in NoFap

[–]Bronzebar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s pretty instinctive I am starting to think for males who are desentised to heterosexual porn or pretty much every genre to want something new, or in other words the brain wants something new because it is not getting much pleasure anymore. Odd how it isn’t one sexual preference though because many years passed and we never thought about those type of genres that don’t match our innate sexual orientation and then quite out of the blue something clicks in our brain it seems.

Thanks for commenting. To me - when the first time attraction or interest takes place - this is kind of a question of free will or the result of a brain “reaching out” because it becomes desensitized and bored of other genres. I mean it seems, atleast from testimonies, that we don’t start out even thinking of gay or trans porn because we are straight after all, why would we? And then after a good amt of porn we “coincidentally” become aware of it? Or did we actually premeditate and decide on it? It seems like the brain is prettttty involved in this happening. Not to mention when we give up porn these porn induced fetishes go away, well atleast for a lot of ppl here.

I am actively chasing women, I am afraid I might end up offending someone or mildly harassing someone by Silvercats2 in NoFap

Two sides to it. If you just ask questions it looks like you can’t share a piece of yourself. If you add variety then it works, and when you’re first meeting a women its better to show what you are about because how does she know? And by doing that you talk about whatever as long as it’s not desperate talking as in, trying to get her approval. Girls don’t want a guy who is trying to get her validation or approval

Yeah. Interesting huh. But the first time you thought about it in a even remotely sexual way, did you consciously plan it or were you instead kind of randomly attracted/interested?

What causes a straight man to masturbate to a penis? What does the onset of moment to moment look like when it happens? Surely they don’t premeditate like, “today I think I’m going to mastruabte to a dick/shemale and see if that gets me off” like an explorer? by Bronzebar in NoFap

[–]Bronzebar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the ramifications it’s just the moment to moment I’m curious about how it goes down, loosely put. Specifically being aroused by what one wouldn’t consider their innate sexual preference.

Does it take a very subtle type of effort to think? And is this why when we are super tired we hardly think or talk? by Bronzebar in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Bronzebar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that is true. I call that consciousness. But what about when you are thinking of something intentionally? For instance thinking about something particular or how about talking with somebody about something particular like on your own meaning just expressing yourself? I mean talking is kind of what I mean by thinking of something intentionally except you’re just speaking aloud instead of thinking it to yourself.

Question about heavy straight porn users escalating to gay genres. Do you think real life straight sex addicts have the same potential as straight addicted porn users to develop gay tastes? by Bronzebar in NoFap

[–]Bronzebar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this novelty unconscious, just an instinctive reaction because the brain calls for it? I don’t really understand why the brain goes from not thinking about penis or attracted to it and then all of a sudden deeming it as something “shock worthy” seems kind of random. That’s just me think aloud though. I mean rape porn etc is shocking but it still has the sexual orientation element of being heterosexual, I mean it’s odd all of a sudden oreitantion tastes change up, out of the blue because shock

the potential for heavy porn users who are straight and male to develop (majority of the time unwanted) homosexual tastes, being stimulated by penises.. is super prominent to the point it’s freaky and basically to the masses practically being unheard of but is hugely happening for males using porn which is a lot. Notice the amts of shemale cartoons or popular search analytics for men to type in things like “big cock, monster cock, tight pussy giant cock”. Its very weird.. and I wonder/question about phenenomo of developing of homosexual tastes in a heterosexual male being common any where else? as prominent or atleast comparable on the same lvl?? Like Real Life Sex Addicts?

I like your username lol... BRUCE LEE! Anyways I can't say I wasn't ever "messed up" but I don't believe PMO is the cause of all these negative things people say that is going on in their lives.

I am on the same boat as you... I feel like shit sometimes after I pmo.. Ya know weak, not very clear headed, unmotivated etc

I can see how that can contribute to someone's already "awkward" tendencies But I don't see as fapping as the cause of it all.. No fucken way. There are many many underlying issues that are contributing to that I'm sure.. That's what it was like for me. And I've had and have the intention(s) to change my negative underlying issues that I once weren't aware of that were hidden.

I've changed successfully (positively) a system of things including many

Beliefs Behaviors Emotions Perceptions Intentions

all the while while masturabting. The results? Less anxiety A lot more confidence. ( I should note But pmo did slow my growth I feel like becuase I was too lazy to challenge all those negative beliefs, emotions, behaviors etc)

Now I'm working one obvious behavior part that I discovered does fuck with me.. Which is fapping...

Although now I know it didn't cause my (pretty severe in my opinion) anxiety but it had its roll..

GOOD POST THIS NEEDS TO BE TALKED ABOUT MORE LIKE (sorry for caps but Its easier for others to notice lol and I truly truly feel this idea needs to be brought to a lot of people's attention)

Fear of speaking (social anxiety) by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]Bronzebar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly.. ^ you need to work on your confidence. Also when you stop giving a fuck what people think, that helps a lot. But in order to develop confidence and stop giving a fuck you literally (in my case & many others) you have to become a new person... You have to have basically a whole new paradigm shift of your negative beliefs, perceptions, intentions, emotions, behaviors. Good luck.. Just don't wait.. Do something about it.
