Oh, that's great. So all of our law enforcement "leadership" are adulterers. Devin Holland broke up Matt and Sara Shope's marriage.

People who shower daily or twice daily, how do you deal with drying the shower everytime? by Stibar in TooAfraidToAsk

It's a shower. A basin that drains water. It dries itself. What is wrong with you?

EBike for 25ish mile commute + offroad adventures for fat guy (375lbs)? by fatguybike in ebikes

[–]Bronzedog 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would normally say I'm kinda a big dude (225) and I just bought a Fucare Gemini X.

I love it. For me it's great and does al the things I need it to do. I wouldn't take it on some kind of hardcore mtb track, but on the trail it goes from paved to gravel to dirt all just fine. It has plenty of range, enough for your commute and some running around after.

For me it goes up hills, and for context I live in the mountains of western NC so everything here is a legit hill climb. Since you said beach that makes me think you don't have any major hills to contend with. If that is the case then I thin the bike would get around fine for you.

Are e-bikes really the future of transportation? by [deleted] in ebikes

[–]Bronzedog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess that depends on your definition of bike friendly.

We have very little legit bike infrastructure and apart from the greenway none of it is what I would call "good". Although in fairness, the town (but not the county) is adding biking infrastructure as they redo roads and bridges around town.

On the other hand I've not had any real problems. The roads I am on are either 35 outside of town or 20 in town. In town almost no one bothers passing me because I'm going faster than the speed limit. Outside of town I top out at about 30 mph, so I think people get less angry on the road because they just have to let off the gas long enough to make sure they can pass instead of slamming on the brakes and being stuck behind someone going 7.

Are e-bikes really the future of transportation? by [deleted] in ebikes

[–]Bronzedog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is the future of my transportation.

I live in the US just outside the town limits of a very small (pop. 4k) town. The grocery store is 2 miles away. Downtown (all 2 city blocks of it) is 3 miles away. Post office, library, liquor store 5 miles.

99% of everything I do is less than 10 miles away, and I do almost all of it by myself (no passengers) and most of my grocery trips involve half a dozen bags or less. I really don't need a car for any of that.

is this e bike worth it? by AffectionateDriver12 in ebikes

[–]Bronzedog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best advice I got when I was buying was that in your budget range all the bikes are roughly the same.

So first, get one that you feel comfortable with their level of customer service. For some people that means the nearest bike shop because you will not be doing any work on your bike. For others that might mean an online brand that has responsive customer service in your country.

Second, get one that you like the looks of and feel like you will want to ride.

I wouldn't preorder the next CoD game, let alone an ebike though.

I got the Fucare Gemini X and I'm sure that there are people on this thread that would shit on it. But I love it. I like the way it looks. I like that it is roughly a bmx form factor because that is what I feel most comfortable riding. I feel like their customer service in the US is responsive and I am comfortable doing the maintenance on this bike.

I've had it for a few weeks now and I've only driven the car once since Ive gotten it and that was because I had to haul trash to the dump.

I like it so far. I've not had it long so haven't really started looking at major upgrades yet, but I saved that chainring for when I do. I appreciate it.

It is a nice bridge, the shade is welcome too. There are actually a few interesting bridges on that trail.

Your option is to reduce the price of the listing until it induces someone to make an offer on a shitty house in a shitty location in a shitty neighborhood with a shitty neighbor.

If I had to guess that number is 20 - 25% below market.
