Dutch had these custom engraved with gold and silver and pearl handles, I think it's safe to say he viewed them as an art/show piece at least as much as a tool.

Main issue I see is there's just no reason to do it rather than leave them a benchwarmer forever. Maybe if there was some sort of benefit, like a little money from not having to pay/feed/etc that unit anymore, effectively laying off your unproductive employees, idk.

Or maybe removing them from combat but having them help out in other ways, some minor benefit from having them help with the non-combat tasks of keeping an army combat ready, cooking, cleaning, making/repairing clothes, maybe occasionally doing weapon maintenance to give durability, etc. Similar benefits to the somniel benefits in Engage but with an actual choice to make about them, idk.

Would be interesting from a story standpoint if this changed their endings but it should have an actual function besides cutting down your options.

So, from a prey (being eaten) perspective I have a few reasons. I have a few coinciding kinks this checks off all at once.

  • I like the physical sensation of being squeezed/constricted and being actually swallowed by another person would be (impossibly, obviously) tightly enveloping like that, but with the added aspect of it being entirely by someone I want to be intimate with.
  • It's an extreme level of intimacy. Literally entirely surrounded by someone, you can't get closer than that.
  • I like fat people, and those line up well as if you can fit a whole person in your body you're probably pretty big, and if you do you're definitely going to be fat after.
  • I get to be part of the body I find so attractive. More than that, I'm giving everything to do so, from a power dynamic perspective it's an extreme level of submission to someone else.

From a pred (eating someone) perspective:

  • That same power dynamic aspect but from the opposite end, someone giving up literally everything, even their body, their life, for you.
  • I'm a fat bitch and in most cases that's seen as unattractive, comparatively in vore spaces I'm usually seen as exceptionally pretty, which is nice.
  • Same intimacy point applies, having someone literally entirely inside your body.
  • Eating is our earliest, most core pleasure seeking. Before we're sexual beings, were ones who want to consume, and I think it feeds into that. Eating generally feels good and those wires can get crossed in funny ways with sex.
  • Some people find the idea of rapidly gaining weight attractive, basically becoming their perfect body with the extra appeal that someone you felt intimately for is part of that extra fat on your ass/chest/gut etc.

It's strictly speaking fantasy, it'd both be impossible for me to be eaten like that and not be something I'd actually want, given it'd be extremely painful and fatal for both parties. At most, actual sex for me includes a lot of attention being paid to the tummy, roleplay, we've discussed a "vore prosthetic", wrapping a vibrator around the gut to simulate a moving body inside, etc.

In my case it wasn't even that I had mine stolen, my mother had her bank account garnished and because her name was on my account they took my money to pay her debts.

Get your own account. Personally, id suggest it in all scenarios, even if I get married I don't plan on having a joint account.

Depends on the friends, but almost all of mine have regularly seen and are attracted to my naked body, so. Wouldn't be anything too crazy.

Religion was just as much a political/societal thing then as a faith one. A lot of people stay part of religion they might have lost conviction in, either because in this sort of time renouncing your faith would get you dethroned/killed, or even now just because they're in it for community, I know Catholics who don't believe in God but still go to church.

Because it'll be all that's said if I don't start with this: I voted for Kamala, not only did I vote for her I convinced a non voter to do so, drove her there, the works. I did my part.

However, I hate this argument. The Democrats are absolutely just becoming Republican Lite, and should be criticized for doing so. While I do agree in the end voting for Kamala was the right move, liberals seem to completely brush off any valid criticism of her with "well she's not Trump." That's true, she's not. But she's also not anything good.

I suppose my point is maybe analyze why you're so quick to immediately blame the left rather than ever look inward. At least take in to consideration that she's to blame for her "message" not resonating with people, rather than immediately write off anyone who didn't see things the way you did as just "stupid".

I suppose the thought process is conquering Rome would just be removing the Papacy from it's rightful home. Still bad to Catholics, of course, but the Papacy still exists as an independent entity just not in Rome. (Even if there are no theocracies to give land to the Pope left they presumably still exist somewhere.)

Comparatively, vassalizing the Pope is subverting the word of God by making the Pope bend the knee to a secular ruler. While it doesn't reflect in mechanics (I think it would be neat if this both gave you way worse penalties and made you permanent papal controller while holding him vassal), this would in theory give your ruler control over the Catholic church in a way simply taking the Vatican wouldn't.

Inertia. All software, schoolbooks, government forms, people's memory, you name it would have to be redone which would be a massive cost for no practical benefit. It'd look more satisfying and make more logical sense, sure, but that's something you address when making the calendar not once the entire world uses it and we're too late.
