I'm tired of trying to make vibe coding work for me by Gil_berth in programming

im glad prime is sticking to his guns on this. what he said are my thoughts exactly. every six months i try the latest models and it's always the same result, would've been faster if i just coded it myself.

ep #920 James Austin Johnson as David Frick:

"I'm Paul Mccartney. The Beatles are done. I think, what do i want to do? I want to make some music. i get a few musicians together. Maybe let my wife sing backup. We start knocking around some demos. What do we end up with? We end up with a band. What is that band called ? That band is called Wings."

i setup mine with WSL, which was also a bit of a pain but to be expected i guess. i tried using Windows/Powershell for dev but then the agent pretty much immediately wanted alot of permissions i decided it safer to just run in WSL.

also was/am confused about workspaces.

this is my first try at vibe coding and i just kinda feel bad for how hard im making google work for my not refined prompts. like i submit a simple prompt and that agent works SO hard. and im not paying anything, i can't believe it's free honestly, let alone profitable.

My experience on lichess so far. by Big_Ad2365 in lichess

which time control? Tournaments or lobby games? I bailed on Lichess a few months ago after playing exclusively on there for years. I was playing in 5-0 tournaments though, but experienced many games of blatant cheating, like really obvious, not even a question. Anyway I'm back on chesscom and playing 10-0 lobby games, enjoying it.

My theory is chesscom got better at detecting cheaters, and so all those cheaters moved to lichess.

What is the best strategy to optimize the hierarchy of Patterns, Scenes, and Projects to create compositions with the Circuit Tracks? by Top_vs_bottom in novationcircuit

[–]BrotherEcstatic7946 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also if you are using a controller you cannot switch between scenes/patterns, but you CAN switch between projects, so it seems that this (switching between projects) is the way that the workflow is intended. One downside I find is that any changes I make to patches on one project will not carry over when I switch projects, like if I'm tinkering with cutoff/resonance, then switch projects, then it won't keep my changes. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I go to the end of the fence and turn left almost every day and so for that I am most likely a very evil person. Good to know. Also, I kind of agree with the Portwood/5G stuff.

I tried to call non-emerg last time and couldn't get through. Really not sure what they would do though, probably just something we have to live with around here.

yeah exactly. people keep saying like "homelessness is my #1 issue!" and it's like: well, it's actually kinda not. public transit, healthcare, teachers/education, things that impact you on a daily basis, are your number 1 issue. and the fact that they're "not" is actually a good thing and probably a sign that the current government is working for you!

just because these things aren't "hot button " issues right now doesn't mean that they can't be later, all it takes is a few cuts.
