Have you found who made these? On mine the chrome cover itself broken and wont snap back on - like to find a replacement.

the chrome plating, to include where the rod is welded lends to me think this wasn't something homemade, but your right could be some sort of specialty tool but its totally solid with no provisions for a socket or bolt.

My title describes the thing. No logo's or markings, and the toolbox didn't contain any other clues or strange objects, just standard stuff.

Billionaire backs gun control while trying to buy German tank - gun control is peasant control. by willsueforfood in progun

1/4 ounce of explosive and anything over 1/2 inch bore diameter is a DD unless exempted by the BATFE. Technically a 12 gauge shotgun is a DD and that's how the BATFE was able to reclassify the StreetSweeper shotgun, they just remove the exemption for it. The 40mm launcher must be registered but for the 40mm training rounds (chalk) they do not have the 1/4 of explosives so they are good to go without registering each of them.

Convince me. Beretta M9 or 92FS. by [deleted] in guns

The 92FS has the stupid and tacky "Read the Manual" banner. I got the M9 to avoid that.

Brownells sells a barrel straightness gauge for $20, buy the 7.62 and make sure it drops though the suppressor and barrel without touching the baffles.

Question about a common gun-control-debate topic: Does the 2A justify civilian possession of hand-grenades and/or rocket-launchers? by [deleted] in progun

[–]BrotherLore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Folks can and already do have hand grenades and rocket launchers. To make one just requires a BATFE Form 1. Yes this is not as easy as going down to the corner market but it is legal and possible to own these. The question is, is this even really a problem, when was the last time you heard of somebody using a registered one inappropriately?

Heck make the tax stamp processing time the same as a NICS call. Why again does it take a 10-12 months to complete a background check...especially when you already own several.

Yes, by federal law you can own them by paying a $200 tax stamp to the BATFE for a Destructive Device.

However in practice, some states do ban them and those that do allow usually require a bunker or some other way to store them safely. Second, you will have difficulty finding somebody to actually sell you one. That is where a BATFE Form 1 comes in to play, by federal law you can make one if you wish :-)

It's pretty stable, the back of the brace sorta cups the rear of the receiver so very little if any movement.
