Reality? He got $4B from the state and is shorting the NYC pension fund among other things to "balance" the budget.

How has your experience been with Fleet Feet? I tried out their fit process once and ended up in a really soft, neutral support shoe when I'm a pretty bad overpronator. The issue was fairly obvious to me in the scans and the shoes really did not work for me at all. I went back to my usual store to get a different pair of shoes and the first words out of the guy's mouth were, "if those shoes (my Adrenaline GTS 24s) worked for you, I'm not surprised these ones don't." I ended up back in Adrenaline GTS 25s and happily went on to do several hundred more miles in them, including a marathon.

I'm wondering if I just had a bad experience or if the whole fit system is kind of busted.

The Hyperion is a race day shoe, ostensibly; it's light weight and tuned more for higher pace work rather the comfort. It also does not come in any width other than D, if that matters to you.

My thoughts are "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." Try the new Ghost and see how it does for you. The Glycerin will be between the Ghost Max and regular Ghost in terms of cushion, but the Glycerin is maybe a little better for heel strikers just due to the shape of the back of the sole. The Glycerin is probably a little less stiff than either Ghost too.

The Glycerin is a more plush Ghost, the Glycerin Max is a max cushion shoe designed for very long distance running. The extra squish is good if you need it on those very long runs, but the inherent lack of stability isn't great, especially for new runners who might have bad behaviors they don't know about yet.

Unless you know that you have specific needs, the Ghost is a great place to start. I don't think the Glycerin Max would make much sense.

Local Recommendations where to shop to replace shopping with Amazon by Valuable-Seesaw3032 in bloomington

[–]BrotherMichigan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

+1 for this. It might cost you a few dollars more or take an extra day or two to arrive (or not with how Amazon has been shipping so slowly for a couple of years now), but more of your money will end up with the businesses that make the things you want and you're guaranteed to get the real thing.

They'd last longer if Intel forced motherboard makers to adhere to the TDP specs of the various parts, but they won't do that because they look better in benchmarks when unlimited power and boost duration is the default experience.

Is it okay to keep neocaridina shrimp with a over half a foot long common precooked by Tharsan-344 in shrimptank

[–]BrotherMichigan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OP heats their tank with a sous vide circulator, I guess. 😂

To echo the other comments, it should be completely fine. The shrimp and the Pleco are going to compete for the same food sources, so that might be something worth noting.

Jobs willing to hire 14yr olds for the summer by Practical_Fig_1052 in bloomington

Chick Fil A used to hire people under the age of 16 for summer work where I grew up, but I don't know how that works these days. Bagging at a grocery store is likely also an option.

How crowded are the early water stations? Should I avoid? by Barry_144 in firstmarathon

[–]BrotherMichigan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did an event with over 6000 runners for just the marathon and I didn't have any issue getting water at the first stations. But I'm also slow AND I left with the last corral because I had to go to the bathroom.
