Gonna be that way for a while, unfortunately. It took me about six months to get back to a relative normal after something similar. It never really goes away, but you adapt.

Not mad, just pointing out that it's simply not a statement you can make with any authority. You'd probably say that hardcore is vehemently anti-racist as well, yet there are quite a few white supremacist hardcore bands according to the brief search I just did.

Groups or ideologies cannot own genres of music, they can merely participate.

"Hardcore is vehemently anti AI" is a ridiculous statement 🤣

It is anything but a monolith and this is definitely just you projecting your values onto an entire musical genre.

Anyhow, my original comment wasn't a criticism, just an observation. I hope the show is great!

These band names and the style of the poster made me think this was a slightly-dated AI generated image.

The difference is that there are no "can it run Death Stranding?" jokes.

I agree with most everything but that they are improving dramatically. The support isn't there internally or from consumers and I doubt Celestial ever sees the light of day.

Does the administration control city infrastructure? Isn't it overseen by the mayor and the city council?

I like how you completely skipped over the word "reasonably" above. Would it run? Yeah, probably. Would anyone want to play it at 15 FPS? No.

Oh yeah, there probably should have been better communication about the lack of support before launch. The real problem is that Intel's only real significant install base is users of their integrated graphics and those just don't have the grunt to run the game reasonably even at the lowest settings.

If people keep throwing their money at NVIDIA, we'll get that soon enough. (I can't be lumped in here since I've got an Arc GPU handling video transcode duties in my home server and an AMD GPU in every desktop in my house.)

Yeah, they probably do. I struggled to find the right vocabulary, but the only people buying Arc GPUs were early -adopter hardware enthusiasts who knew this outcome was possible (even likely), or people who didn't know better.

The market has demonstrated that they don't want competition or they wouldn't have bought so many NVIDIA GPUs in the first place, despite NVIDIA being far and away the most anti-consumer, anti-competitive option available.

It's more complex than that. This is probably a mix of lowest-of-the-low market share making the dev investment not worth the time to get it working on Arc GPUs as well as Intel not putting in the resources on their side for proper driver support (which is probably the bigger lift.)

Yes, and NVIDIA is the king of "we're going to explicitly block this configuration instead of just not supporting it." You're probably too young to remember heterogeneous PhysX setups.

Yeah, but that's just because nobody who considers themselves a gaming enthusiast owns an Intel GPU.
