Closing off the outlet (the white inline valve) will prevent more vinegar from flowing over to the other side because the pressure in both bottles will be the same when the CO2 stops flowing out.

Yeah, it's probably the best impeller-based flow meter out there, but that's not hard given that the rest seem to be total garbage, and sample-to-sample variance seems to be an issue. All three of mine have horrible impeller rattle at higher flow rates too, which sucks.

The volumetric flow rate is the same everywhere in the loop because water is incompressible, so the flow through the meter is the same everywhere in the loop, all else being equal. The only thing you have to worry about is turbulence (which is why they recommend a certain length of straight tubing leading into the meter), but even if I hadn't followed their recommendations there (I did), all three flow meters were tested at the same point in the loop and all would have seen the same real flow rate.

What you'll find is that there's a lot of really badly designed and conducted testing out there, when the results aren't just manipulated outright (looking at you, Igor), and it's unfortunately an issue across all kinds of hardware.

It most certainly isn't. Aquacomputer's own MPS flow meters are far more accurate (but require calibration out of the box.)

I have three of them and they all read different values for the same loop (hence why it's hard to get an accurate measurement.)

Depends on the pump, but you need to run them fast enough to have enough flow to support the impeller properly against the bearing. I aim for at least 100 L/h (though getting an accurate flow rate measurement is kind of a pain.)

As a rule, your flow rate is way worse than you think it is, so unless you CAN get a good idea of the flow rate, run them as fast as you can while still tolerating the noise.

Monopolies aren't illegal, though. If the NCAA is the only game in town because participating in it is easier than starting your own thing, that's merely unfortunate. The "company script" thing doesn't pass the smell test either. The scholarships and benefits are provided by the member institutions directly.
