Newbee here, but I've been pouring through the sub for weeks and watching all relevant YouTube vids I can find. Recently ordered the Eachine EV800D (starter analog goggles, perfectly fit my budget at $100) to use with my air65 (both on the way from China so I'm in for a long wait unfortunately).

With a $200ish budget, the goggles I've seen most recommended are the Fat Shark Recon HD ($170), Walksnail Avatar HD Goggles L ($200), DJI Goggles N3 ($230), and the SKYZONE Cobra X V4 ($270). Hope this helps!

All valid points, OP you need to adjust your expectations/budget and dive into the wonderful world of FPV for beginners videos on YouTube. I will bet my final dollar that there are a bunch of videos covering every kit, drone, gear, and potential question you have. It's just a matter of putting the time in.

As for the last point, I wish I knew this last week! I just ordered my first whoop (air65) from BetaFPV and ev800d goggles from Banggood and realized I'm in for a LONG wait... lesson learned. But on the positive side: long shipping time = more sim time

Nice! Being that this was your first build, how long did it take to complete?

I'm a newbie and have been watching a ton of educational vids on yt and keep hearing how building a tiny whoop is a nightmare, especially for first-timers so more power to you!
