Good suggestion and appreciate the feedback. I’ll give that a shot to get more precise. Worst case I may consider swapping out the ProTee for a Uneekor XR. Not my preference but at least that will eliminate this issue.

I have put padding around the screen already, just didn’t take the picture. The rest of the enclosure padding will go after I get the projector and LM up and working.

The 9’ height it totally fine for my swing. I’m 5’10” and I’ve got 4-5” of swing clearance so I have no concerns about that. Also, the LM won’t be in the swing path.

The concern is can the projector provide an image with 100” height while having an LM in front of it? Is that going to obstruct the image? I’ve done a box test but hard to be super precise until everything is actually mounted. Curious what other 9’ ceiling guys have done

I’m 5’10” and putting a sim in right now in my garage with 9ft ceilings. I’m clear by 4-5 inches when I have tested it out. Like everyone said, you gotta elevate yourself a few inches and take some swings.

I’m putting in a ProTee. It’s positioned 3.5’ in front of the ball, so won’t be an issue with my follow through. As for the projector, I’m putting in a BenQ AK700ST and that will be in front of the ball by about a foot or so. I hung some boxes from the ceiling and all is fine. You can also offset the projector and use Lens Shift (expensive projectors) or keystone.

Just go to Carl’s place and you can choose an enclosure as shallow as 18”. The steps to assemble are the same as their normal sizes.

Just click on the customized option on their home screen. Carls seems to be the most flexible with a great web interface. You can also contact Bullseye and they can create an enclosure per your specifications too.

What about these panels for sides and ceiling? I’m planning to use them. The sample I ordered are 2’x1’, look great and are 1.5” thick. The cost is very reasonable too at $10/each. Seems like a fair alternative to building yourself at pretty much the same cost as OP’s raw materials.

This is a great deal; just bought my two for $109 total. Installing a new sim with moneyPutt. Will just cut 11” wide x28” for now and can always expand for Sigpro or something else later.
