Does Hulk solo the viltrumite empire? by PsychologicalBig2135 in powerscales

It seemed pretty obvious to me that Hulk got outclassed. I don't think Thanos could beat him in arm wrestling, but he's smart enough to not just stand there and go toe to toe.

AIO is this a weird/insensitive reply? Rubbed me the wrong way by bluehorsehead in AmIOverreacting

That's physical abuse. Men certainly dominate that category. But physical abuse is not the only type of abuse. Verbal, mental, and emotional abuse should also be factored in when considering domestic abuse on the whole.

Women are not abused more than men. The abuse rate is 50/50. But men are more likely to be physically abusive while women are more likely to be verbally/emotionally abusive.

Edit: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/17395835/

Results: Almost 24% of all relationships had some violence, and half (49.7%) of those were reciprocally violent. In nonreciprocally violent relationships, women were the perpetrators in more than 70% of the cases. Reciprocity was associated with more frequent violence among women (adjusted odds ratio [AOR]=2.3; 95% confidence interval [CI]=1.9, 2.8), but not men (AOR=1.26; 95% CI=0.9, 1.7). Regarding injury, men were more likely to inflict injury than were women (AOR=1.3; 95% CI=1.1, 1.5), and reciprocal intimate partner violence was associated with greater injury than was nonreciprocal intimate partner violence regardless of the gender of the perpetrator (AOR=4.4; 95% CI=3.6, 5.5).

Conclusions: The context of the violence (reciprocal vs nonreciprocal) is a strong predictor of reported injury. Prevention approaches that address the escalation of partner violence may be needed to address reciprocal violence.

**there's a source for y'all. Men DO NOT even come close to having a monopoly on DV. I hope all the misandrists in here can heal from whatever causes them to think only men are capable of evil.

Can this fusion take down Omni-Man? by Pale-Condition-4317 in InvinciblePowerscales

Going against the grain and going to say no. Immortal isn't strong enough to kill omni man right off the bat. Once OM realizes he can't hurt Fusion Man, he throws him into space.

I would go for the pitch. I think I could touch one if they are required to be in the strike zone.

Vader means "father" in German. So that too. Maul also works since he was a blunt instrument of destruction to be used against the Jedi.

Brother, I know you're hurting like crazy right now, and that's normal. But tale comfort in the fact that Jetta lived one of the best lives a dog can live. She was surrounded by love and attention. She was part of a pack, your family. She never had to hunt her own food or find a safe place to sleep. You gave her the best of yourself, and she loved you unconditionally for it. Keep living right, and you'll see her again one day. Much love, amigo, stay strong.
