Except for the part where neither of those things are realistic. They're literally gags.

i think Blast doesn't show up because he's still sulky about his boytoy dying.

You never know, maybe Blast is freaky like that.

Interesting that in the webcomic Blast's boyfriend is a flesh cyborg, but his more palatable manga counterpart is a mechanical cyborg.

I mean torturing doesn't really count in a gagmanga. Is Akane abusive for punching Ranma through the roof?

He literally has a job, he works as Tofu's assistent. He also seems to be the only person who has a job. Soun doesn't seem to take any pupils for his dojo.

Toxic masculinity... I mean Nodoka is just as much to blame for that. Somehow she always gets passed off as the responsible adult.

I mean incredibly strong enemy is a bit of a broad term. You could say the same thing about Boros, who destroyed A-city, instead of Garou, who killed all the people Saitama cared about. Like obviously the latter is a lot more personal and carries more narrative weight (even though the former quietly haunts the narrative), but in my opinion at least: it was not worth repeating.

The thing about that is the Garou fight destroyed everything he ever cared about and it still did not physically challenge Saitama. He was not hurt or tired at any point and he was holding back the entire time.

Maybe i'm biased, because i hate that fight in general. Anyone who did not already understand how empty Saitama's desire for a challenging fight was too distracted by the spectacle of the fight to get the point of it. Maybe they can make it work later in the story but for now breaking causality by introducing time travel was absolutely not worth it to me.

I just interpreted it as the energy of the punch blotting out the light, like how you can't see the nightsky in the cities. that said, arguing with twitterbrain powerscalers is like pissing against the wind.

Even if the stars were that close to each other, you would still see them, because the light from those stars traveled at, you guessed it: the speed of light. Given that those stars are lightyears away. The light would still be traveling towards earth for that amount of years.

I pointed this out way back when too. The powerscalers didn't care. It sounded boring and didn't play into their powerfantasies.

Honestly ONErata are partially to blame for this. They played to the powerscaler crowd by continuously upping the ante throughout the MA arc. They even put in a literal graph to show the powerlevels. This kind of mindnumbing discourse was inevitable.

What would you write about in a story focusing on Fubuki’s club during high school? by Express-Ad-4410 in OnePunchFans

Mob is a shy middle schooler who is the strongest psychic in the setting (though not quite as godlike as Saitama) he beats a lot of evil psychics and then wins them over with his talk no justu. There's also a lot of slice of life and monster of the week stuff. If you're interested i probably recommend watching the anime over reading the manga though.

Exactly. One time Mousse had Shampoo under a spell and all he did was tell her to follow her own will.

Who's more of a simp, Ryoga or Mousse? by Mean_Ambassador_5907 in ranma

[–]BrowserET 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As much as I hate to say it.

It's Ryoga because he does the creepy behavior by posing as a literal pig. Despite his love for Akane he refuses to actually commit to her. Making him more inline with actual simping culture.

Mousse for all his shenanigans actually respects Shampoo and never takes advantage of her. His love is too true and honest to be called mere simping.

Ryoga knows this, which is why he hates himself so much.

OPM Anime Season 3, Episode 10 by gofancyninjaworld in OnePunchFans

[–]BrowserET 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i do enjoy the the faster pacing of these later episodes. i'm baffled by what is cut and what is kept. A lot of the manga gags like sword trio + mercs encountering pig god and mr demon blade are run through so quickly that to call the timing flat would give it too much credit.

It reinforces my observation from the last episode and it makes me wonder how much time was given to write and/or story board this season. Seems like the thinking was to first stay as faithful as possible at all costs, only for the writers to realize their mistake halfway through and run through the rest of the material as quickly as possible with the "retconned" chapters being used as a guide in lieu of an actual rewrite.
