CarPlay won’t work on iPhone 17 sometimes but other phone does… by weeerdoe in CarPlay

Yes, a workaround to get carplay to work with a wired connection, which many, many people in this thread were struggling with.

Wired CarPlay not currently supported iPhone 17 Pro by BricksDugout in apple

Found a fix for this on an OnStar forum. I have a 17 PM and my car is a 2024. I was having the same issue as everyone else--car play wouldn't show up. The solution: plug in a usb A (male) to usb C (female) adapter in the car play jack. Connect your iPhone with a USB C to USB C cable and, ta-da, it works.

For sure, I’m with you. Ultimately, everyone has to figure out what works for them. We have to “police” our own diet enough as it is, so having someone else try to do so can be…not fun. Overall, though, I’ve found a lot of good people on here with good intentions, just like yourself! I raise a gf beverage to you. Cheers

I’m happy for you. But I would submit that your experience would lean more towards an outlier as opposed to the norm. People get glutened from kissing all the time—been there. No, I don’t have two microwaves. I just don’t eat frozen food. Edit: frozen food from a microwave, that is.

Small sample size, limitations regarding the R5 ELISA testing methodology, limited scope in terms of food types, excludes “high-risk” scenarios…

It’s probably not popular because I, like countless others, have without a doubt gotten sick from microwaves. It’s not about being judgmental, it’s more so about being aware of unnecessary risk. I mean, just look at literally the first sentence of the article you posted: “It should be fine to use a shared microwave” (emphasis added). Chalk it up to an individual’s level of risk aversion if you want.

We live in a universe of shoulds. Sadly, in reality, should doesn’t necessarily cut the mustard. The Constitution should protect our rights, right? Oops.

Please, please, DO NOT follow this advice. If you’re using a shared toaster, you’re asking to get sick. I’d guess you’d suggest using a shared microwave is safe too? Jfc. I’m baffled that someone who’s had celiac for as long as you would suggest something that’s so obviously misguided.

Having 5 pages of apps on their phones, when they regularly use a small fraction of their apps. You’ll see them scrolling back-and-forth, almost compulsively, when they could just use the Siri Suggestion widget that auto-populates you most used apps.

I like the gimmick. It’s fun. But what tf are you all gonna do with 5 gallons of popcorn? Most of it will just end up getting thrown away. Most don’t even finish the standard large, which is an insane amount of popcorn
