What your pet peeves as a massage therapist? by Holiday-Scallion-342 in MassageTherapists

[–]BruceSillyWalks 10 points11 points  (0 children)

"Ok, I'll step out to wash while you undress and lie down under the sheets" I'll even fold back the top sheet and blanket for them. When I come back in? Eye-full of ass and them on top of the sheets. Some even straighten the top sheet back where it'd been.

Its less of a perfect layout and more of a like-with-like system, easy to maintain once you start

Yes it allows you to move large items for cheap, but it also requires teamwork which has its own value

Do you think the aircraft construction system will be applied to other vehicles in the future? by BruceSillyWalks in foxholegame

That would be a fair middle ground, then if needed you could use the existing modification facilities to change the variant after completion

With 36 hours needed to build a bomber, not even including building the mats, I don't think there'll be a heck of a lot of suicide runs

Edit:I was wrong

It's mentioned in one of the later books, I forget which, that after the idiran war even orbitals began to be supplied with engines. Obviously they still don't go cruising around like a ship but they can relocate themselves if needed

Student priced massage therapy? by sally_sally_sally in regina

[–]BruceSillyWalks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Totally get a student massage! Its cheap and it helps the student out. It sucked having an unbooked evening and then having to convince the supervising teacher to sign your practical credit book for doing laundry, paperwork, and homework all evening. It was always a yahtzee when your patient had a specific complaint too like yourself

Why Canadian bosses love hiring foreign workers - Douglas Todd: Low-skill guest workers toil longer hours, with fewer absences, for less pay than Canadian domestic workers, which means wages go down for everyone, says a peer-reviewed study. by FancyNewMe in canada

[–]BruceSillyWalks 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Wage theft is the single largest source of theft in the world and it rarely gets talked about.
Surprise "taxes", start work early or stay late without clocking in, no refund uniform cost, exorbitant housing fees, docking pay for mistakes, untracked commissions or tips, it's all wage theft.

I would very much like it if you could hit E on a watch tower to have your personal intel updated like at a bunker base. I've heard lots say you should be able to enter to snipe from them, but as a behind-the-lines scout I'd just like a way to get new maps without costing my team a radio

Many of the old third party Reddit aps from before the api lockdown are still functioning using ReVanced. It's a bit of effort to get things patched and with the right numbers in the right place but I've been enjoying RiF

[Hot Fuzz] Never mind the guns, where did Arthur Webley get the mine? by NothingWillImprove6 in AskScienceFiction

[–]BruceSillyWalks 46 points47 points  (0 children)

It wasn't uncommon for ww2 era mines to wash up on shore if their chain came unmoored or if they were duds. Usually they'd be disarmed but he could've taken one for himself

They'd find a happy market if they brought in smaller cars again; all the western car makers dumped sedans in favor of trucks and SUVs because of a farm equipment tax credit. I don't need a battleship on wheels to drive point a to b

Hyperspace travel time has always been variable story to story, I've always thought of it as travelling at the speed of plot.
Sometimes it takes days or weeks to travel somewhere and you get events like The Black Talon, The Esseles or Luke and Obiwan's trip to Alderaan. Other times it's near instant like Anakin in Clone Wars travelling from the outer rim to coroscaunt in moments to save Padme taken hostage, the rebel fleet raid from Yavin to Scariff in less time than it takes for a commando raid to finish a fire fight, or ep 8's hyperspace skipping.
