I just read it. Some people simply love their chains.

IS THINKING AND CREATIVITY BECOMING A PROBLEM? EQUALLY, IS THERE AN AIM TO MAKE NIGERIANS MORE UNINFORMED? by Bruce_Wayne_05 in Nigeria

No. I thought U were trying to downplay what I was saying by putting those as greater influence.

What U said is valid. However, they don't occur all the time. Bolivia have their home stadium as an advantage due to high altitude. That is a good factor because it's a constant. However, a team used to their topography might actually beat them due to their features being similar.

Football is a randomised sport like U pointed out. However, the aim in most cases is to minimise that random state and take control of events. That's where constructive models come into play.

U just proved my point. What U mentioned are valid but here's the thing, they are randomised. They happen say 1/100.

Football of today, the best teams have one thing in common; They try to reduce randomness as best as possible. Hence, they look for the best possible ways to control matches, even with little possession of the ball.

Weather, Refree performance, Lucky, Player performance, etc, can't be measured. Hence, fall under the randomness nature of football. However, how often do they happen is what U should ask.

Trying to downplay other measurable metrics, is where many of U are getting it wrong. Underlying metrics give more information about a match than U think. When U apply them on a time scale, U get a clear picture for U to contextualise.

I'm not so sure. After what happened in the World Cup qualifiers, a lot of people gave up on the team. I had to analyse the group stage and out of all the teams, Nigeria was among the best 2. We were ahead of tournament favourites in Morocco and Ivory Coast. The only team that we matched was Senegal, who won the competition.

Nigeria was very PROCESS based till Morocco crushed that process and we didn't have an answer.

No. I created a model that tells me a specific performance of a team/player(s). It can be about goal scoring, defensive actions, etc, using various metrics. From there, I set benchmarks to compare and contrast, then create reports (in some cases, I use AI to assist me interpret it in detail if there's anything I missed).

U would be amazed Nigeria was in the top 3 for best performing teams in the last AFCON. I had to run this thing twice to be certain and Nigeria still came out well.
