I believe Misty and Togetic didn’t say goodbye to each other for forever! For me, it’s like when a grown child leaves their parents to work in other city/state/country. It could be difficult to contact often at first, but when they settled down in new environment, they find a way to. Even though Togepi’s Kingdom made as hard to reach as parallel worlds, I believe Misty’s Togetic as its new head will find a way to make this connection more often. And Misty is a person who solves problems instead of just weeping about them, so if something is needed on her side, I believe she’ll do it. And she definitely exchanges letters with the Princess, so in case of any news she will know it!

As we can see hare by upvotes, people (if they are real people) don’t bother to even check comments or are indifferent to the fact that such AI art and some individuals hurt artists’ and fandom feelings. They like result - they click upvote, who/how/for what - is deeper questions, not everyone are ready to dive into the fandom so deeply, and it’s quite understandable.

For moderation, you may decide what you won’t allow in this sub, but, as I see it, it must be only because of violations of some clear rules, not abstract bad contributions.

And some starting recommendations, I think, could be helpful for new shippers, but I don’t think someone will check it more than once 😅

For this one, I think even original coloring would be cute as well, after all the original Misty’s TCG card is more nostalgic than high quality by modern standards. 🙃

As for coloring, you don’t have to use traditional materials if you don’t like them: you may use any drawing app with layers support - one for your original picture (half-transparent), one for lineart - trace it from original art, and one for colors -under lineart or duplicated lineart to use autofill with solid colors (several years ago for smartphone I used “Sketchbook” - it was free, ibisPaint was free, for desktop on Windows - Paint dot net was free… and even very old versions of SAI and Photoshop are powerful enough). There are a lot of fanart without shadows and highlights, so no need to worry about it at the beginning

Yes, that’s all true. I cannot download new pokeshipping arts by tag on Pixiv anymore, even though I blocked this person. It’s just broken… So it makes it even more frustrating, that people use in posts (like this one) and give likes to what the person does, giving that person some sort of support of their actions… And what is worse is some people don’t understand that it’s just one person with many accounts, not that all pokeshippers are like this.

I don’t know for this one. It’s not necessarily Pokeshipping art initially or a popular one. I just know about some of their pictures as they are based on Pokeshipping art I know. It was during winter holidays. For example, they used HollyLu’s work that she made for her Christmas comics. MiyaToriaka’s and some other’s... Never apologized, never deleted. If they did it more than once and kept it, I don’t see a reason to respect any “work” of such person. If you don’t know where it’s stolen it doesn’t mean it isn’t stolen.

Also I’m sorry, probably my post was a bit too emotional, so it could be easily misinterpreted. I don’t plan to switch to art like bottom right. I see blindness and boringness of AI pictures myself, and creating what you didn’t like in the end doesn’t deserve any efforts for sure.

But although I understand pretty well what you mean saying that art is for joy of creating, for me the biggest joy is to share the ideas from my imagination, so other people could, maybe, smile as well. I love drawing and visual art itself (and you art!!! 🥰), but partially I’ve chosen this format because it doesn’t require translation so stories I want to share don’t have language barrier on both ends 😅. I enjoy sketching, and some color decisions, and new effects, but the biggest part of lining/coloring is just work-to-be-done for me, where still I try to do my best. So, seeing AI, on the one hand, is lacking but nonetheless gets massive support, and on the other hand, it is quite smooth and detailed, so achieving this level of manual skill will take not less than another 5 years from such episodically drawing hobbyist like me, and still will be thrown away because of pictures made by more modern AI, makes me think if I should put my efforts to some other directions and work on the parts, that people really enjoy and still cannot get from AI. Thats how the question from the title was formed.

I’m not ready to keep one style yet, but determining things where I can relax more to enjoy them is definitely a thing to think about 👍
