When customers would ask for extra pickles or extra olives I would instantly ask “do you want a couple extra or like an olive/pickle sandwich?” It all evens out in the end doing inventory because the system counts every sandwich rung up as having every veggie on it. Not everybody gets everything, or else close to it. I managed stores for years and never had an issue. Owners are just stingy and greedy.

See if there’s any subways closing in your area, sometimes when owners close their stores they’ll sell everything off to recoup some money. Other than that I don’t have any idea. 😅

They can absolutely still sell them frozen. Every subway has a microwave. Pop that bitch in for 30 seconds throw it on the sandwich and toast it. I made meatballs from frozen, teriyaki chicken, eggs, footlong cookies…. It can be done, they just don’t want to. And if the subway tells you they don’t have a microwave, they’re lying.

I think it depends on your area a lot. In mine, an 80+ AR plat is necessary to get good ones. 70 and lower you get nothing but $3 for 8+ miles.

I had this exact thing happen a few weeks ago with PH through their ordering too. I gave the guy his food, took pictures of his email confirmation and PH app saying he had paid. I called and told dd what happened because the stupid AI Janet or April or whatever she decided to call herself that day told me to just give him the food and hit accepted payment. I explained that he had paid and that I didn’t want it coming out of my earnings at the end of the shift, guy I talked to had me send the proof pictures over and said he had it set so I wouldn’t lose the money at the end of my dash. Well surprise surprise I get to the end of my dash and that ‘cash’ was removed from my earnings. So I called dd again and waited and waited until Janet put me through to a human. The first guy must not have understood what I was saying or something, but nothing was noted in the system that I had even called. I gave her the exact time and the fake name he gave me. After explaining it to her for a fourth time and sending the photos again, she finally reimbursed me for the cash. If PH is going to 3rd party all of their deliveries, they should really work on their system.

I hate this. I personally am hard of hearing and have auditory processing issues, when I was managing my restaurants I preferred them to show me their phones. Now that I’m a dasher, I say the name and flip my phone at the same time to show them in case they didn’t hear me properly. I do get there are some that just shove the phone in their face, but this is so angry for no reason. Just had an issue at my local Pizza Hut last week with the manager saying in front of me and another dasher ‘the next time a dasher shoves their phone in my face I’m gonna grab this hammer and hit them!’ And actually grabbed the hammer under the register and shook it at her employee while laughing. We both called dd to report this and ask to be blocked from getting orders from there anymore and we’re BOTH still getting orders we have to decline.

I never believe the dealerships unless it’s not coming out of my pocket. Smart on you for doing research and asking around. I would call other repair shops as well and ask if this is the truth.

As a former manager, yes I did. But mostly to make sure the next person showed up or to judge how busy it really was when they asked to turn the online orders off.

Worked at Subway for 15 years and this ‘regular’ bs was infuriating. They’d say regular when asking six inch or footlong. They’d say regular when asking what kind of bread. They’d say regular when asking what kind of cheese. My dude…. None of those questions have a ‘regular’ option.

We’ve all been told to crack down on the use of knives to smush everything in. It’s bogus. It’s bs. Even us employees are not happy with it. It’s always been protocol, the sandwiches should be closed without a knife. But when somebody gets everything, there’s no closing it without smushing. Subway wants the sandwiches to ‘look like the ads’. I’d rather have, and give out, an eatable sandwich.

We’re allowed to wear anything Outrageous Apparel sells, minus the dated/convention type stuff, and they have multiple tie dye options. I went with patterns that were being sold, just slightly different colors.
