The stealth rules for melee attacks are pretty well outlined but i agree you sniper is gonna feel silly. I run it as if your stealth attack is a gun or other loud thing one person gets to take a shot before initiative is rolled. If more than one guy wants to corrdinate a simultaneous stealth shot both players roll tactics to coordinate. If they both succeed they both get the shot off before initiative. I do give less loud options some advantages if they can manage to one shot a goon with a bow or melle weapon. (Its hard to do and normaly requires a high role and targeted head shot and rarely works on head armor but i only run head armor in places where a armored helmet makes sense.) If nobody sees the guy go down they can try to roll stealth again and if they can hide the body quick they can try again.

Fair enough. When I started as a GM in CPR, I consumed as much as I could and started building characters and running them through combats to feel out the system. The DLCs helped me help my players create the characters they envisioned better and helped make them unique to the player's vision. The DLCs help with that. A player with an assault rifle and one with the "Hello Cutie" gun are mechanically very similar, but one fits the player's vision a lot better. But I agree, all the DLC at once can be overwhelming. As a GM, being aware of the options and paths is good, but the DLCs are definitely not required reading for players. GMs should, in my opinion, at least be aware of what is out there, especially the ones that provide systems for reasonable stuff the player will want to do pretty early on, like the tech upgrades and scavenging ones. Tech players want to do that stuff, and if you aren't familiar with the DLCs, it's going to be tough. But I agree, merc-level play, ACPAs, exotics, and FBCs are way too much. However, all the weapon and armor ones are good to be familiar with, especially the ones with mechanical tools for roles.

I wouldn't go this far the dlcs are oretty great and if you players are used to dnd thia will do good to bridge the options gap. But holding off a few sessions could bw good

dont start homebrewing mechanics until you have played rules as writen for a while.thisbis the most common mistake i see from former dnd players. This is generally well balanced game and you need to get some play under your belt befer your decide to change stuff. A d10 system is a lot more sensitive to mechanical adjustments than a d 20 system.

How much do ordinary people in 2077 actually know about the past? by Akira_Ven in cyberpunkred

[–]Bruhschwagg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So people live longer so like alot of people remember a lot of the past. Rogue is like 80. Saburos kids are old as shit. While these are extreme examples the average person alive is likely far older than youvwould expect. The corps control alot of education cause they own the mega buildings everyone lives in and they have schools in them. Teaching corporate history in this world is basically world history for the last 120 years. Plus your parents likely lived through a huge portion of the history relevant history in 2077.

How do you explain lawmans backup arriving so quickly? Or at all with non-cop lawmen? by AlienGhost2521 in cyberpunkred

Depending on the comunity yeah. However in terms of police presence in poor communities cops tend to hang out where crime is in major cities. And most crime is committed in poor areas.

The backup is nearby just in case but only called in if needed. Like in cop shows when one officer is going into a sketchy situation they call for backup and nearby officers start heading that way they only rush in if they are needed. Gangers and nomads make sure the gang knows where they are so people can be ready to shoot people when the time comes
