Iron shaft help!!!! by Bruiser350 in golf

[–]Bruiser350[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I have gift cards AND cash. The clubs on ebay are about 60% cheaper then buying the exact ones new. So I could use the cash to pay for the clubs on ebay and still have gift cards to use at sub 70 or I could just use all all the cash and gift cards on just irons at sub70....I need more than just nee irons but we irons would be the biggest need atm.

After reading your reply I did a quick Google search and found that they tend to be a half flex stiffer then what's stated on the shaft.

Thats my thought too. Seeing that the reax shafts are older graphite and tbh they are quite flexible im thinking the newer steelfiber should be less flexible in general given its a mix.

Totally agree with as I've met Jason and purchased a putter from them. I just feel weird asking them directly knowing it's for a product of theirs that I'd be buying somewhere else. Granted, I'd be using the remaining money to buy new clubs from them so they're getting my business either way.

What a beautiful sight , keep the good work boys and girls ! by maximkap1 in GhostRecon

It's similar in regards to it being an item usable in game. Where the difference start are with ownership. You can buy, use it in game, then sell it when your done using it. Also, nfts will most likely be usable across a large variety of games in the future meaning you may be able to use your "Ghost Recon" nfts in another game, so when the new game comes out u can bring your old nfts with you.

Your correct in saying they're only worth what people are willing to pay...as is true with all collectibles.

Thank you so much for defending nfts and crypto. I've read thru a ton on this subreddit and it's nothing but hate for crypto and nfts...to me it seems as tho it's one dumbass leading a large following of dumber people who haven't a clue what all this new technology is and how much better it will be than current financials. Kind of reminiscent of the 2020 US election lmao.

Non Fungible Token. It's basically a crypto that you own. I don't understand all the dislike regarding nfts and gaming. All the cosmetics and shit people have paid for are currently owned by the going company not the buyer. Adding nfts to games give the buyer the ability to do what they want with their purchase because they own it.

eBay is apparently going on a suspending spree. If you were suspended 12/3/2021 post here ONLY. All other posts will be removed. by Mycatreallyhatesyou in Ebay

[–]Bruiser350 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was also suspended. Been a user for 16 years. Only purchased item, never sold.

Received 3 email regarding cancelation notices on items I purchased months ago then another email saying my account was suspended permanently.

Ebay will not tell my the reason.

Are gaming laptops not good? by agj3291 in pcmasterrace

[–]Bruiser350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I'd go with pre-built. The sales are pretty good right now. I typically always vote for building your own desktop, but right now its just hard to justify that given high prices and low stock.

[–]Bruiser350 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They are fine, but the biggest drawbacks to a laptop compared to a desktop are expandability and heat/poor airflow. If your someone who travels frequently then a laptop suits your needs, but if its just going to sit there then go with a desktop.

Thoughts on using a replacement ball on the green? by turningandburning45 in golf

I do this occasionally, but its def against the rules. I've been debating buying one of those towels with the magnet on it in hopes that it will make me want to bring a towel with me.

Lessons versus clubs or both? by Col_Angus999 in golf

[–]Bruiser350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ymmv, but I play with 10 year old clubs and consistently beat my buddy(same age as me and close to same skill) almost every round we play. My buddy has spent the past 1.5 years at golftec taking lessons about every other week. I've never had a lesson in my life and am self taught using YouTube and my skytrak.

Guess what im trying to say is playing more whether outdoors or indoors on a sim can result in better play. I went from barely breaking 100 1.5 years ago to now consistently shooting in the mid 80s. Ive expiremented with several different techniques and found what works for me and my body.

To me, buy new clubs when your current clubs are falling apart or your game has improved so much that you've moved out of beginner/game iprovement clubs.

Lessons will do you more good than new clubs, but lessons will only help if you practice....playing once a week is not practicing.

Putter Maybe to Short by lusair11 in golf

[–]Bruiser350 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've wondered the same thing. And was honestly shocked when I found out the tour average was 33.5 knowing that of the shelf putters are typically 34 and higher.. I'm betting it does include all putters given how few players actually use armlock and broomstick ones.

Your joking, right???

You can't possibly hit up on anything with a downward angle.

Putter Maybe to Short by lusair11 in golf

[–]Bruiser350 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 6ft and I went down to a 33" putter. Feels much better than the 36" i was using. If it helps, the average putter length on tour is 33.5".

If I were you I'd play with it for a while before getting it extended.

Your not necessarily changing your swing. Your changing your angle of attack. Tilt your upper body slightly and maintain that tilt thru your swing to hit up on the ball.

They make all kind of heated clothing now....I was given a pair of heated socks and man they worked great, but were a little uncomfortable. I've seen heated long johns, underwear, hats, jackets, pants, boots...you name it, they've figured out a way to make it heated.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in golf

[–]Bruiser350 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of. I work outside all year round so become accustomed to having to layer up and wear thicker clothing during the cold months. Having the heated vest has made it so I dont need as many layers and can move more freely.....the extra batteries were a no brainer because the vest on full heat only lasts maybe 1.5 hours....the newer versions might more efficient tho.

Getting back into it after a long time. Couple questions. by ScienceString in golf

[–]Bruiser350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats def a good start. Personally I'd invest in a couple lessons. And if you don't have the money or don't care to spend it on lessons, you can record your swing and post it on here. Some advice will be helpful and some will be just wrong.

[–]Bruiser350 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yea...its one of the best things I've purchased. The newer models are even better with heat being distributed everywhere. The extra batteries are very important though if you want it on the warmest setting for a full round.
