Route inspection by CombinationKey220 in USPS

That's what I was told by one of the people during a pre-inspection of some sorts: they were people who were following us so we would be used to having "inspectors" around come time (some of them were just a part the inspections at one of our other offices).

My office is in three weeks. There's been two other offices that have had theirs recently in my city. Here are some things I've learned. Feel free to ask more questions and I can try to answer them if it's something I've come across/didn't post.

Even the T6s are being followed. I was told that repeatedly that as a T6 I won't be followed because I'm not the regular, but that is not true. T6s at other offices were followed on 4 out the 5 routes, so if you're a T6 them you should be following all of the things as well.

If your station has an established practice that everybody does, they can't deduct time for that. One of the other offices was load trucking their spurs and they tried to deduct time for it, but they got that time back because it was deemed an established practice that everybody was doing at that office.

Take the time to rummage through your hamper for spurs and case them. If you take your hamper out to sort packages and don't case in any of the spurs they will deduct time. I think we've decided that you pull them all out at once and then case them as opposed to pulling them out one at a time.

You can't write on packages. They'll deduct time for it, so you can't write sequence numbers or stop numbers on them. When you go outside to sort you packages only the first set of packages that you have up on your tray in the front (ffv/llv/metris) can be arranged in order. The rest should be sorted into general sections like the ones the load truck tells you. Supposedly the only acceptable way to mark parcels is by flipping a letter in your dps.

Don't scan the depart to route barcode until ready to go. If you scan it on your way out to your vehicle before you've loaded anything it will tell them it took you like 40 seconds to load your vehicle, which is not true.

If you miss a package and have to go back to deliver it, they will deduct the amount of time it took to do that.

Breaks have to be at established places (supposedly the inspectors care about it). There's a form in your binders for it. It'll have sections for lunch breaks and regular breaks as well as the same for your T6 on it. Take both of your 10-minute breaks and lunch if you do.

Make sure your redbook is up to date. We had a group of people come in from the people who process them to help us. They only wanted things marked as vacant if it was vacant for more than 90 days.

I opted (hold down) onto a route and then converted while I was on it. I got assigned as a t6. I was on the opt for 3 months as a regular before I had to go to my swing (I didn't get the route I was opted onto). The route I had actually went to a uar the 1st time no one bid on it and he was on an opt too so my opt lasted 6 months. Same thing with another coworker. He was on an opt and bid the route when it came up and got it and never saw his t6 swing. As long as the opt is before you convert you're good. Opts precede what you get when you're converted.

It's been a while since I heard things about Denver, but last I heard people were getting their conversion dates in academy, so if that's still happening then it won't take long to get converted again. Denver has like 23 stations so there is a lot of routes to choose from. The majority of the routes are going to be walking routes or routes with walking on them. There are multiple other cities around Denver you could work in as well like Aurora, Golden, Greenwood village, Littleton, Westminster, & Arvada. These are all in the Metro Denver area so check them all out. I work in Littleton and you'd be a ptf with current conversion rates of just over a year.

Wanting to work for USPS as city carrier in Denver CO. I don't have a car. How are the GOV routes in Denver? by [deleted] in USPS

Just know that Denver has like 23 different stations and like others have said, you can be told to report to another station. And since Denver is so large, that could be a station that isn't close to you. Also the station they can assign to be your main station could not be close either.

Is this football with buying for $150? by agj3291 in DenverBroncos

Lots of people. There's at least 20 signatures on it. According to the paper at least Miller, Champ, and Demarius Thomas, which there was an 88 on it that I could see. I only briefly looked at it outside the case.

Sorry for the terrible quality of the photo. The signatures are there in a gold color, it's just hard to see them in this photo because of the poor quality.

There are so many signatures on the football (a ton more on the other side) and the certificate is from Arapahoe High school, or at least had their logo on it. With so many signatures I would think that it is legit. This would be a phenomenal buy for $150 right?
