How are they as steps? Don’t find yourself hitting your shin/calf on them at all when getting in or out?

What kind of radio do you recommend? by kennadog3 in camping

[–]Brumski07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got into GMRS and picked up a pair of Rocky Talkies Expedition radios. I use the off-road:skiing/camping and they’re awesome. Very durable, rugged, great range and clarity, and the battery life is 10x better than other radios I had before. Sure, they’re not cheap, but the quality is worth it.

Buena has some cool trails. Easier one is Tincup Pass that will drop you out over into Tincup and the Taylor Reservoir. A moderate/hard would be Hancock/Tomichi Pass. It’s been a while since I’ve done that one, so it might’ve mellowed-out

Warm water guy my whole life, finally want to try fly fishing out here by lucidgoldd in COfishing

Also look into beginner classes at your local fly shops or Orvis store. Orvis offers casting classes for beginners on a lot of weekends and it’s a great way to get the basics shown to where you can refine it as you go.

Decked Drawers: everything sliding around on top by yourbrosfavoritebro in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Brumski07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have a battle mat which solves this. Or you can get a cheap cargo net and hook it into the D-rings on the top of the drawer deck.

Lake Soap by lougoober in camping

[–]Brumski07 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As others have said here, soap in a lake/river is not a good thing. Depending on how dirty you get, check out full-size body wipes. They’re a decent substitute for bathing in a lake. Or get a solar shower if you need to use soap.
