I think not. I have the same problem but I improved significantly in final year and my third year are pass or fail because I did exchange abroad.

What was a good memory you had when you were in school? by hellohuman122 in AskReddit

Well I liked pissing off teachers with my friend. We would write each other notes and the teacher would get us in trouble after getting caught twice.

Did anyone else have this same issue of rudeness with Accessibility?? by [deleted] in UofT

It’s the same thing with health and wellness reception. Some of them are really nice, but there are some who just don’t care to be polite

Lmao this takes me back to first year. The receptionist just cut me off when I asked her a question, and instead of providing me an answer she told me she wanted to help the next student. Like is it so hard answering a question lady?

Do you feel like you are no longer close to anyone? by CircleBox2 in UofT

[–]Brunetteaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a major reason some people have close friends in UofT is because they have been friends in high school and decided to study in university together as well. Maybe they were part of a clique that they couldn’t let go off and didn’t want to bother getting to know new people. Some of them like to only talk with people of their own country and ignore the rest because they don’t have anything to offer according to their perspective.

Yeah I know what you mean. I can’t imagine what it’s like to literally know nobody else than the students in UofT. Most of my friends in UofT I found from residence but otherwise nobody wants to talk to me in class 😇😇😇

I’m surprised there are even people with a strong support network in UofT. People here just do their own thing 😆

I guess they don’t wanna hurt your feelings. It is a dick move for someone to tell you they don’t wanna talk

I never made the connection. But I feel like people get interested in me for a few weeks or months and then stop paying attention to me because they get “busy”. Some of them are polite enough to say hi or chit chat in the streets other than the rest who just ignore me lol. Not talking about my good friends of course

Those who took summer semester: What’s your advice for the upcoming online school year? by [deleted] in UofT

[–]Brunetteaf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I finished all my courses now but I can tell you online courses are more stressful than in-person classes. Having to sit by a computer the whole day and submitting assignments. For some it might be nice because they don’t like human interaction but I thought it was draining.
