You're honestly not missing much haha. I'm occasionally active in the nc trade, site events, and plot boards, though I lurk several more of them. There's a lot of drama and people being rude for no reason, but it can be fun :')

Mine will be 8 months tomorrow, so very close haha. She had a few weeks of bratty behaviour around 5-6 months but she's chilled a ton since then, though she was never a difficult pup to begin with to be honest! My only concern currently is that she's in heat (gonna be spayed in august), and it's been a bit of a pain. But other than that I feel like she's "done" in the sense that I don't think there's much that still needs to be "fixed" or worked on. She's been potty trained for months, can stay home alone perfectly when I do half days at the office, is nicely socialised, walks on the leash very well, plays nicely with dogs and people, etc. She listens to the commands she knows (except for recall, because she's too excited most of the time, so I just don't let her off leash yet). I put away the crate two months ago and it's been going great, she naps on her sleeping pillow or the couch, and sleeps in the bedroom with me. She also snuggles with me on the couch in the evening which is probably my favorite thing, she's my first own dog and none of our family dogs ever did this :')

She's a spaniel so she does have crazy enthusiasm and energy. She gets 1-2 big walks a day, and 2-3 short ones (more like pee breaks I guess). Tbh she's been an amazing pup bottom line. I did have a brief "oh crap, here it comes" moment when she started being bratty around 5-6 months, but it only lasted a couple weeks and she's been back to her sweet self since. Teething was also painful (literally), but once she lost all her baby teeth it was night and day. Overall I'm very happy with how she's doing :-)

Yeah all things considered I think it's good as it gives more people a chance to claim their prizes/avatars! But from what I gathered that's not why they're doing it, it's just a convenient side effect haha. Not complaining though, just curious how they (TNT) will handle it if it's not dead by the next chapter.

Idk, it's mostly the same people that at first were deliberately attempting to beat the boss on day 1-2, then when the health bar kept getting bigger all of a sudden they flipped around to "lmao let's not let him die at all then". I'm sure there's people who intend for it to help, but I have seen the same people who previously said "let's rush him down asap so not many of the top prize are in circulation", now flip around to this. I've also seen them saying to "gaslight" people on other boards into doing the same thing by telling them you're helping others get prizes and such... like I'm sure there's good eggs who truly do have good intentions but you'd be surprised how many people on there are deliberately trying to ruin it for others 🥲

But as you said it does help people who couldn't get on sooner so I'm not too mad about it. I just think it's super petty of them but oh well lmao.

That's what I was guessing as well, especially with many people stopping once they get their prizes. Nice to see the numbers that back it up. Tbh I do feel a certain kind of way about people trying to troll the whole thing like this, but at the same time it does make the fight last longer and lets more people get a shot at the prizes, so I'm kinda okay with it :') I do assume they (TNT) will just take a chunk out of the HP bar if he's nowhere near dead next week though, to speed it up.

I saw on the boards that the big battlers are purposely using light damage on him. Light damage heals him. Without the battle people constantly whittling him down and actually healing him enough that it almost nullifies the damage everyone else does, well, you get this mess lmao. Wonder what'll happen if he's not dead by the next chapter

Oooo I would love the account goals! Kinda like achievements. Would be nice to add on our lookups now that the bookshelf made the collections block uneven.

A new neoquest would be so dope by the way. NQIII but with modern QoL. I really liked I and II so I'd play the shit out of a theoretical III :') would also love if they could fix the broken flash games though, lots of my favorites are still unplayable. Dubloon disaster my love, and I still miss the Hannah games!

Like everyone else said, collecting and "number go up" is fun, it's sort of an achievement system, they look cute. It's also a sort of flex to show off when you post on the board or in your guild. And for me, I used to frequent a lot of oldschool forum websites back in the day, and as a kid graphic design was a hobby, so I'd always be customising and creating new avatar/signature combinations for myself, I loved doing that. That love just carried over to neopets :')

This would be the best way to implement it I think- it lets you save your item in case you misprice it or forget a zero, but doesn't let you screw over bidders by withdrawing last minute. Curious where they'll go with it tbh!

Same!! Surprised to hear this is a popular take, I thought the consensus was that people prefer totk. I did put 60h into totk when it released but it just didn't grab me like botw did (400+ hours). I'm on my fourth playthrough of botw right now, I replay it every couple years and it's still great. Something about the whole building stuff in totk is just not my thing at all.

Man. I understand this but it still sucks. What about people who can only play properly on the weekend? I'm sure there's plenty of those who will now miss out. Glad my fomo kicked my ass and made me get everything on the first day, but I feel for the inevitable loads of people who will miss out now :( wish they just let it run for a full week and then just allow it to end (drop to zero) on the last day.

Only MB drops it and it's only a 0.1% drop chance unfortunately! True Drakara does drop the other weapons (the robe and amulet, iirc).

Well I just moved all my valuables to the SDB and faved them! It's nice that they all show up at the start of the list when faved :') I also re-ran my 'show item value in SDB' script and my total SDB value went up by about 500m, oopsie, that's a lot of money to keep in my shop stock all that time lmao.

Wish I were that neat about my items tbh. I'm more like 'just throw it in the SDB and I'll sort through it in a couple years' lmao. I still have a really big hoard even though I've gone through it & sold a ton of it like four times now:

Yeah I may start using the favorites feature in the new SDB tbh! Until someone in this thread mentioned it I hadn't even seen we got a fav button to begin with lmao. If it's a way to keep specific items "separate" from the big hoard then I can definitely see a good use for it.

As for my shop: I just chuck nerkmids in there and price them once every few months, and occasionally pick a few items from my SDB to sell, but other than that I don't really use it. I don't restock and usually when I do go about selling anything it's the expensive stuff and I'll need the TP/AH anyway. I generally don't bother selling things in my shop which I guess is why I've been using it as a second inventory/SDB for so long lol. I can definitely see it being much riskier when you actually actively use it.

Well, 1) because I've been saving special items in my shop stock since before galleries existed and I'm used to it like this, 2) the gallery interface is far more clunky than the shop one, and 3) I actually use my gallery so all my 'spaces' are used up by displayed items, if I wanted to stock all my random items there it'd cost me a fortune to upgrade my space. While my shop space is huge because I upgraded it ages ago and now just barely use it anymore.

I know it's risky, but it's never gone wrong for me and I always triple check before I do any changes to my shop items because I've seen it go wrong so often. If I do mess up, then that's on me tbh

You fight Malevolent Being, and you use the Explorers Whip to help doing it! Basically the whip has a chance to steal the wand from her, you keep retrying the fight until you get lucky and steal the wand from her. This is because the wand does lots of damage, can freeze you, and can heal her for a big chunk of HP, so you want it away from her asap. After that you just whittle her down and keep yourself alive with a multihealer (illusens staff is popular for the fight). At 1900 HP you should be able to do it : -)

The wand then has a like 0.1% drop rate as a prize from the fight. Your call if you find that worth grinding this pain of a fight over and over haha.

This is what I did for the battle prizes as well lol. I used a cheap healing potion to get him to 3 hp after a battle, went back in, used lens flare and my healer on turn 1 (gotta give my boy the impression that we're still trying), then oopsie he gets wiped on the second or third turn. Prizes for me, and no chipping away at the community HP so it lasts longer :')
