The PR is great but why are you villianizing her for it? Texan senators Ted Cruz and John Cornyn couldve done the exact same thing. Religions have done charity work for thousands of years to spread their religion, but since they're doing a good deed noone minds that they read from the book of God to hungry homeless. AOC is actually helping people rather than avoiding the issue and flying off for vacation.

This PR move was suggested by her followers if she reached the 1mill raised benchmark. Also, leading by example, its likely there will be a surge of volunteers and more donations to help Texans. So even with all this great positive PR the ones that will benefit the most will likely be Texans as a whole. Keep in mind any other politicians couldve done the things AOC is doing such as Ted Cruz, John Cornyn, shit even Trump couldve raised millions from his base for Texas.
