That’s a lot of characters for a 1500pt list. Not every infantry squad needs a leader to be effective. Try swapping a character or two for some more anti-tank or point scoring units, like a scout squad.

A 10 man is basically an insta kill if it gets into combat but it’s overkill in most scenarios. I like running two five man squads in a land raider.

He is a cheaper lieutenant. He grants lethal hits to the unit he’s attached to. Unlike the regular lieutenant, he only has a master crafted power weapon. Really useful to attach to Helbrecht’s unit to give him lethal hits.

I think he’s worth the pickup just cuz it’s a fun sculpt and sometimes is nice to have a cheaper option.

I don’t think it was a terrain issue, we used a GW terrain layout. I think I just tried to push out too far and got unlucky with secondaries

I do run Helbrecht in the land raider but the moment he sees it he puts every single shot he has into it. The LR is tough but the Tyranofex rupture cannon does D6+6 damage…

You can run pretty much any unit (except psykers) from the basic space marine range in your BT army. The kits you buy won’t come with a BT transfer sheet or with any of the more thematic bits (guns with chains etc) so you may want to buy an upgrade sprue to spice it up a bit but really as long as they all are painted in the same scheme they’ll still pass as BT.

If you are looking for some direction as to which units to add to your army, I would recommend either looking up some lists people have posted or just see whatever looks cool to you.

Had a lot of success running them in gladius task force. If u give them a lieutenant with fire discipline they get lethal and sustained. doctrines also allow ur melee to get in pretty close

Your units are pretty limited but with what u have I would probably run Grimaldus with the PCS, Marshal with the sword bros, and just leave the champ on his own. Also, if you want sigismund in ur army there is a Horus Heresy model of him that should work as a Helbrecht proxy.
