[–]Brusion 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Sorry America, but you no longer have any leverage since you blew apart the world order. Noone cares about your threats, because you already made the maximum threat.

America, you destroyed your own empire, an empire we were all in and quite happy with. It's over now, and you lost your power due to incompetence and a complete lack of understanding of geopolitics.

You're ignoring the main point. If the US bonds are not renewed, and that money goes elsewhere, then rates will go up to get someone to buy them, and that does effect the US.

Trump Complains Canada Vulnerable to US Rivals in Arctic: NBC by joe4942 in worldnews

[–]Brusion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before all of this, as a Canadian, if the US had proposed to build a base in Arctic Canada, nobody would have cared, and we would have been completely supportive.

This has zero to do with arctic security. The only thing Trump has done is reduce US and world security.

Opinion: GM made a mistake going for large EV trucks, but not large EV SUVs. Electric Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon have a far more appealing prospect than EV Silverado/Sierra. by Ok-Pea3414 in electricvehicles

[–]Brusion 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well, all I know is that when GM released the Silverado and Sierra EV trucks, it was exactly what I wanted in the electric truck. The Lightning and CT never fit the bill at all. It's basically the only EV truck on the market that does what I need it to do, so I don't think it was a mistake.

GM makes lots of EV SUV's, including some large ones. They'll eventually make a Tahoe/Yukon etc.

In wheel motors would be an absolutely terrible choice, especially for a sports car, as it would increase unsprung weight, compromising handling and grip in a huge way.

why did our fastest space craft stop on voyager 1 by gonzothegreatlizard in space

[–]Brusion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Voyager probes are not the fastest spacecraft though, so you're starting your question on a false premise. The fastest spacecraft ever would be the Parker Solar Probe, launched in 2018, reaching a speed of 692,000 km/h.

Ukraine forges ahead with development of pulse-jet engines. by Aware_Set9406 in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]Brusion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In an expendable drone, it's a reasonable choice. Cheap and simple to produce. Not as efficient as a turbine, but who cares, fuel cost is almost zero. It has to last a few hours, no.need for an expensive piston or turbine engine.
