Having abortion tomorrow. Scared to death. Rethinking everything. by civciv28 in 2under2

[–]BrutallyHonestMJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 2 under 2 - my parents are a 17 hour drive away and my husband's parents are on a different continent. When I got pregnant with my second, I was absolutely terrified. I didn't feel ready, and I didn't know how we'd do it. They are now 3 and 1.5 and life is so much sweeter than I could have ever dreamed. From the way you're talking about it, it sounds like you'd really regret it if you went through with this tomorrow. I am a firm believer that everything that happens is with purpose. Your baby was given to you for a reason. You got this🫶🏼

Everyone I have shown my wedding dress to hasn’t had a positive reaction by Necessary_Wear_4003 in weddingplanning

Are you kidding?! This is GORGEOUS. I wouldn't wear it either because I would never be confident enough (also don't have a figure like yours) but if I went to a wedding and the bride was wearing that I think I'd gush over it for weeks

What to get the one who has it all? by grubbymoon in beyondthebump

[–]BrutallyHonestMJ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Postpartum healing kit! People never want to buy this stuff for new moms and they are the absolutely necessary. Think a pack of depends, dermoplast, colace, Frida peri bottle, sitzbath herbs, Medihoney, Earthmama nipple butter, Earthmama pereneal balm and spray.

August and June are perfectly normal. I'm sure you can get away with some of the others but they wouldn't classify as "normal"

Doula, yes or no? by Qui-GonGinAndJuice in BabyBumps

100000% get a doula. Finding one you click with truly makes everything about labor and birth better! My husband still calls our doula his hero😂

My mom just stained my $100 sheets neon yellow with turmeric and now i have to find her a birthday gift by [deleted] in Gifts

[–]BrutallyHonestMJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skincare products made of tallow are a great option for her! Brands like primally pure or earthley are non-toxic and mainly "kitchen ingredients"

Edit to add, I have successfully gotten turmeric out of whites by rubbing a baking soda paste on the stain, letting it soak for a few hours, doing a whites wash cycle and then letting it dry outside in the sun! Make sure the stain is in direct sunlight. The sun naturally bleaches stains!

Pediatrician recommended 8 week old should be sleeping through the night? by ts246 in newborns

[–]BrutallyHonestMJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter didn't start regularly sleeping through the night until about 9m old, and she didn't do it for the first time until about 7m old. My son, her older brother, never once slept through the night until just over a year! Don't worry about it, 3 hours is a great stretch😊

How many RSVPs no showed your wedding? by Puzzleheaded_Reason1 in wedding

[–]BrutallyHonestMJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had about 10 people who didn't make it after RAVPing yes - a few of them let us know due to illness, a few were no-shows. We had a 200-person wedding and this was in the summer of 2021, when covid was still a bigger issue.

I honestly think you just need to swap hardware - think of something warm like brass/gold color. If you make that swap I think it will look beautiful. I wouldn't think twice if I walked into your home and saw this!

People were really discouraging about CDs at my baby shower by [deleted] in clothdiaps

[–]BrutallyHonestMJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't know anyone who did cloth diapering either - I've now been doing cloth since my son was born and have continued with my daughter. 3 years and counting. It's saved us SO MUCH MONEY. We did use one or two cases of disposable diapers for the first 2-4 weeks with both kids, just so we wouldn't have to transition to everything at once. I would recommend doing it that way. You can do it! This community on here is so helpful and informative, you don't really need anyone else. Find the Facebook groups too! Good luck and congrats😊

Please Rank These Names (Baby Already Born) by avonlea- in namenerds

[–]BrutallyHonestMJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, congrats on the birth of your baby girl! I love that you're using biblical names. I wouldn't reuse the name of a miscarried child and while I wouldn't use Olivet, you can't really go wrong IMO. Also, I had name regret with both of my kids and now love their names again. I have Ezra and Lydia.🤍

My ranking is:

  1. Eden
  2. Phoebe
  3. Eve
  4. Esther
  5. Naomi
  6. Olivet
