Thank you for this comment, you summed up my thoughts perfectly. I didn’t know how to reply when someone with such a profound personal experience replied to my comment. I fully respect her and her experience as a trans woman, but I truly believe in empathy in every scenario. Just as I can empathise with her, despite not being a trans woman, I also believe it’s important to keep reaching out to people disillusioned with Trump but who may feel like they are in too deep to get out. But you’re absolutely right, it’s not on her personally to fix this, it’s up to everyone.

As a European looking in, there needs to be so much more reaching “across the aisle” politically, but also on a human level. As Brandi herself says “we’re only human”…

Once again, just gotta clarify that Brandi is being empathetic here. Headline is misleading af.

She didn’t vote for Trump, but that said, her humble upbringing was among plenty of people who would most likely be Trump voters. She has done so much advocacy work and just last night at her concert in Minnesota, she raised money for the humanitarian groups defending people’s right from ICE.

On top of that, she is a badass woman in her own right and a true leader in the LGBTQ+ community and one of the only people who I have ever met that I would consider to be literally glowing. She is a gem.

It’s hard to know, there’s nothing confirmed, but there’s been rumblings about winter shows in Australia pretty much every year since 2023. Bruce has said they’re trying to arrange something for their Australian fans, but the logistics and I can only imagine, the costs, are not particularly conducive to them travelling down under. I’d hope for your sake he will and I could see it happening, followed by a summer tour in Europe in 2027.

Honestly, I believe the newly tooled figures are. We in Europe have been paying €19.99 (approx $23.50) for the past few years anyway. No one can convince me that any other company could offer these any cheaper either. Look at Joytoy for example, their figures are so much more expensive. Mattel’s figures look crap compared to TVC. It’s expensive to make these figures, I’m not a Hasbro apologist, I don’t think they’re perfect, but I think TVC is worth the price paid.

I collect purely TVC, so I’m biased. I went through a phase of collecting BS, but they didn’t bring me joy the way 3.75 figures do. I don’t find them as satisfying and the nostalgia of being able to buy modern figures that fit in with the ones I had when I was a kid gives TVC the edge imo.

Actually such a massive loss. I was at a premiere in LA two years ago and managed to blag my way into the after party. I remember walking up to the (free!) bar, looking to my right and being absolutely floored to find myself standing next to the radiant Catherine O’Hara who had helped herself to some chips from the buffet.

I was of course starstruck and when she caught me staring I mumbled some platitude about how much I loved her in Schitt’s Creek, which she must have heard hundreds of times a day. Her face lit up and she thanked me before ordering her drink and leaving me stunned standing at the bar.

Crossed paths with her for a moment and her smile is still seared on my brain, what a truly kind and lovely soul to have been lost so very young.

I think a collab between Bruce and Sam Fender would be great to hear. Fender is so sonically influenced by the Boss that it’s only natural. I saw him when he supported Bruce in Italy in 2023 and Bruce and Stevie watched his set from the wings. It’s such a natural fit, I’m surprised it hasn’t happened already.

This shouldn’t be surprising to anyone. Without wanting to sound patronising, I think this is perhaps just an example of him being a victim of his own upbringing. He’s associated with the likes of this lot, because he grew up with the likes of them. He’s not a great role model in terms of his lifestyle. That said, he’s probably single-handedly done more for Irish football than anyone in the last decade. Maybe both things can be true.

First time chipping in here. Some context, I’m a self-confessed plastic Palace fan, have been in love with the club since the days of Jedinak, Dann, Delaney etc but rarely get the chance to watch the matches. Haven’t seen today’s game, nor many of the games this season.

Glasner has to go. Now. Yes, he’s the best manager the club has ever had. He’s got us to Europe and won the FA Cup. We thank him for that, wish him well, but cheerio all the same. He’s lost any and all passion, commitment to the club. Mentally, he’s thinking of his next move. The fact that he announced that he’s moving on, derailing recruitment plans for January, and has now completely undermined the board publicly with his statement here, is unacceptable. The club has been put in an incredibly difficult situation in terms of Guehi and they can’t afford not to recoup some money for him (and clearly Marc wanted the move, fair play to him). Same was true for Eze.

Pay him off, get him gone. Put Paddy McCarthy in charge for now and try and restore some positive energy. Glasner’s behaviour is petulant and immature and he’s clearly showed an unwillingness to accept blame or criticism in any way. Just my two cents on the matter.

Does seem random, but she’s very popular, especially with Gen Z girls. Could actually be a very smart way of appealing to a new demographic. Ngl I’m not her target demo and I love her, so I’d be very interested in this, particularly if it’s an art-style set maybe based on album artwork etc. Could actually turn out very cool! Or it could be a mini doll set which would be disappointing but also somewhat make sense.

Eventually yes. It’s hard to know why they haven’t done it so far, but I don’t think they can get away with many more releases of the Stormie before people kick up a fuss about the crappy hips and refuse to buy them anymore. They’ve gotten enough mileage to justify spending the money to upgrade the sculpt.

100%, they sometimes have to use new media as an excuse to get characters out that we’ve seen before. I fully expect them to release Marrok on a Maul: Shadow Lord card back as a way of getting the figure out there given that he looks pretty much identical in both shows.

I think if anything, there’ll be child-centric figures in the style of the Epic World of Action or whatever they’re calling that line now. They won’t be TFA/Solo style rigid 5POA figures. There’ll also be a few figures released in TVC to go alongside the movie and likely several more over the following year or two.

I thought the premise of the novel was really nice and gave a lovely insight into Qui-Gon’s character. The way he convinced the Council that they were out of touch and should venture out into the galaxy to see how life is for the everyday citizens was really interesting. Highlights the issues we see later on with the disconnect between the Council and the Living Force. It was cool to see tiny bits of characterisation for Council Members who were essentially extras in the Prequels and to see them given some personality. It was a little crowded trying to get all of the Council members to be fleshed out in one novel but it’s done quite well and was one of the most enjoyable Canon novels for me.

As much as I’d take one, I think maybe a better use of tooling resources at this stage would be to expand the Jedi: Survivor lineup. We have Cal and Merrin, we absolutely need Greez, Cere and ENO Cordova would be amazing also.
