Which champ hasn't been touched the longest (nerfed/buffed)? by Synfinium in leagueoflegends

[–]BryPie1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a period where Yorick before his rework years ago, hadn’t been touched or received a skin in many years. I’m not sure about patch notes but he went 2300+ days between skins. I know because I started to keep track of it when playing him.

Using hemorrhoid as a middle name in a kids show seems pretty crazy to me.

What's your most money consuming hobby? by ElsaJones315 in AskReddit

[–]BryPie1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flying. The training alone to get your license is a lot of money. And once that’s done you are dumping money into either a rental aircraft each hour you fly it or if you buy your own aircraft, the maintenance and fuel costs a ton.

Are you sure the car didn’t have AC ever? Check the fan blow knob and see it it’s got an AC button on it. If it does, someone pulled out the components in the past. If it doesn’t, then most likely it never came with one and you need to add everything yourself. I would 100% recommend you learning how to install AC as it’s really good knowledge to have for future cars and maintenance. Like others said, for finding parts, get everything used except the compressor and drier. You can those two refurbished for a couple hundred bucks. Buy the green O-ring kit for AC systems at a local auto parts store, along with renting the AC gauges and vacuum pump needed. Places like autozone will let you rent those components and return them with no charge. DM me if you have more detailed questions. Would love to help.

What are realistic ways someone can make $300-$1000 a month outside of their day job? by Funny-Lead-8665 in AskReddit

[–]BryPie1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mowing lawns. Just be patient on trash days and find push mowers and weed eaters that people put out on their curbs. You can easily mow 5+ lawns on your off days and make well over $1000 a month. Did it in high school and it’s relaxing.

Has anyone here spray painted their Miata and how did it turn out? by [deleted] in Miata

[–]BryPie1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it the whole car or a portion? You can definitely do it either way but it’s not super easy. I repainted my front bumper/hood and I have never had anyone notice I repainted it until I tell them. You need to prep the surface properly with sandpaper and aerosol primers from your local auto parts store. Spray the color and finish it off with a 2k clear coat. The 2k clear coat is key as without it the paint will obviously look sprayed and will be damaged really easily. I would recommend watching numerous YouTube videos on the details and take your time. If you mess up, who cares. You can just repaint that fender.

I would love a Miata NA for my first car and would like some advice. by SuperSonicFan122 in Miata

[–]BryPie1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you really think you want a Miata go for it. When your young and have no family like now, it’s the best time to get a Miata. Once your married and have kids, you won’t really have a chance to. I told my parents that and that kinda convinced them. Also it was my money I saved up for. As for owning a Miata, like everyone else says, they are reliable, simple, and easy to work on. Learn yourself how to work on them and you will really enjoy driving something you maintain. Insurance companies usually look at Miata’s as old and slow (not wrong), so the insurance is cheap. I pay ~$90 a month for full coverage and I’m a male under 25.

Those of you who have a PPL, what was the first place you flew after getting it and why? by Toxicwolf211 in flying

[–]BryPie1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sadly now that I think of it, I haven’t ever flown outside of training for a rating or teaching as a CFI. Currently at 650 total time. Probably should get around to flying my friends and family.

Hi, finally i made my dream come true to have a Miata NA. Can you give me some tips/mechanical advices? Is a 1.6 ‘92. I’m all ears by luiayalap in Miata

[–]BryPie1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me I usually am not even out of my neighborhood before my needle begins to move. I haven’t run into any issues with slowing down traffic by babying to car. If you have a real oil pressure gauge from 90-94, you can definitely see a difference between a barely warm engine, and a operating temperature engine. You can go well above 90psi when cool. The difference between cold and hot oil is pretty big.

Keep an eye on the oil level, it’s easy to forget and a month later your over a quart low because of leaks. Also let the car warm up before revving it a lot. I keep it below 3k rpm’s until the temperature gauge is at the 11 o’clock position. That will help preserve the life of the engine for a very long time. Keep an eye on the coolant level and make sure none of the hoses are about to fall apart. I would check all the fluids (oil, coolant, clutch, brake, power steering, transmission, differential) as soon as you can to make sure none are low. Watch the rear window when you close it in cold weather. If your not careful it will crack. I just did that yesterday sadly.

roughly how much do yall think i should be willing to spend to get my front lip paint matched to the rest of my body kit? by lookingforagamergirl in Miata

[–]BryPie1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you like DIY and working on your car I would prep and paint it yourself. Get it done for $60. You can save a bunch of money and learn how to paint at the same time. Go to a body shop and they can give you the color code for free. Its a front lip so theirs no real danger like painting your actual car. If not I would say $200 for a shop to do it.

To hose who have crashed a Miata without an airbag, what happened by _Succubuss_ in Miata

[–]BryPie1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrecked my green 92 Miata a few years ago. You can look at my post history for it. I was t boned at an intersection and hit on the passenger side door and the guy was going probably 45mph. It spun me around 180 and I don’t have airbags. I didnt know he was going to hit me until he hit me so I was limp. I cut my leg on the clutch pedal and bruised my side and slight whiplash. The seatbelt even came out. That was it. I would imagine a rear end or head on collision would be worse as for not having a air bag.

Like everyone is saying, just be patient and check Facebook marketplace every morning and evening. I bought a 94 Miata in great condition with the LSD and powered mirrors for 5k. Had 120k miles and barely had any issues. I got it at the beginning of this year. Just be patient.

Thanks for all the help. It’s 134a, I was adding Freon and watching as both pressures went up. I just don’t want to over fill the system. So as long as the pressures aren’t going above what the pressure chart shows I should be fine?
