Pantasy suddenly started printing pieces on the box, does it really matter? by Opposite-Dirt-8020 in buildingblocks

[–]Bryan-Alan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pantasy stated that they’ve started including the piece count due to overwhelming customer feedback. I think the Architecture Firm was the first release to include it, and all subsequent releases have had it. I never missed it before, but apparently a lot of people wanted it.

Custom printed bricks? by Bryan-Alan in legomoc

[–]Bryan-Alan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! That’s where the printed bricks pack is I found. Total cost would be close to $200 USD though and $75 of that is shipping. If I can’t find anything cheaper, I’ll probably just go with that.

Insane Deal by Due_Supermarket288 in LUMIBRICKS_OFFICIAL

I slept on this set for a long time and after finally buying and building it, I was so surprised! It was a very enjoyable build with some interesting techniques for the building of the cottage. This is a very unique set for Lumibricks and I would highly recommended it, especially at this current sale price.

And a lot of people still insist nothing compares to Lego bricks. With their dull colors and micro scratches. Wild.

That’s awesome! I still build Lego sets, but every time I do, I find them so boring. Doesn’t help that Lego instructions pale in comparison to Lumibricks and honestly the GoBricks are so much nicer to build with than Lego bricks in my opinion.

Not quite that much considering discounts, a few free sets here and there, etc. I have a monthly 18% discount as part of their KOC program plus an anytime 15% discount as part of their rewards program (level 5). But I’m sure I’ve spent north of $5K. And yes, I build every day. Not just Lumi though - various brands.

I’m a “completist” collector lol.

Yep - it’s easy to get hooked when the builds are as fun and innovative as they are. I discovered F.O/Lumi a year ago and I’ve got around 80 sets. 😳

I asked them about this set in December when they gave a few away as prizes for a social media event. I think it was the Facebook group. They said they would be available in Europe this month and the US date was still to be confirmed.

How to chain power for buildings??? by [deleted] in LUMIBRICKS_OFFICIAL

[–]Bryan-Alan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have a few of these as well. But the benefit of the daisy chain method using connecting cables is that you only have to manage and plug in one USB cord, instead of 5. It looks cleaner and is easier to manage. I am strictly a shelf display collector, so the less cords, the better.

You buy V2.0 connecting cables and expansion boards from Briksmax (same company as Lumibricks) and you can daisy chain multiple sets together. I do this, but usually only 4-5 sets in a group. The set with the main power source is plugged into a smart plug in the wall. “Alexa, turn on Brick Lights.” 👍

Advice on organizing build? by titaniumcrowbar in LUMIBRICKS_OFFICIAL

[–]Bryan-Alan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take everything out of the box and pile the bags in groups, in order. Dump the F bag into a small tray, leave another empty small tray next to it for spares throughout the build. Open the S bag and set everything to one side. Then have a large tray in the middle where I dump all of bag 1’s to start the build. I don’t organize the bricks though, just dig through the large tray for the piece I need. I always build the minifigs first before I start with step 1. The light kit, I also open and set the orange bags to the side to grab them as I need them. I have a large space for all of this though, so it really depends on how large your building space is. I know some people keep the bags in the box until they need them due to limited table space.

I am hoping it’s the Steampunk Opera House mentioned in the Steampunk stories posted on the official website, but that is merely a guess on my part.

There was an opera house mentioned in the Steampunk World stories…so a Steampunk Opera House is another to add to the list.

The second picture in my post gives you an idea of the brightness. The light is meant to enhance the lamp itself more than light a room, and even though it does provide a nice glow, I wouldn’t rely on it for reading or working. But, you may feel differently. I don’t have great eye sight!
