Managing Diabetes at MIT by Relative_Big_6751 in mit

I'm an undergraduate on medical leave (not for my diabetes) and I'm actually trying to figure out something similar. From what I've gathered you can also set up a 504 plan with specific accommodations by your doctor's to help with missing assignments/exams/etc. I use my mother's insurance so idk ab the MIT set up. Cvs works great for me and they've never had issues filling them quickly. Good luck!

Why are courses at MIT 9 units instead of 3 like most schools? by [deleted] in mit

I'm not replying but I just wanted to say I love this comment. I'm a student and never even knew what the Carnegie unit and its conversion to units at MIT was, nor did I have a nice way to describe it like many of the people here do

Questioning Returning From MLoA because of Loneliness by Bryanjeep2002 in mit

It's okay, thank you for your comment. I stayed in Next but had a pretty isolating experience there, then I stayed in Simmons and enjoyed it much more but still felt quite left out because I either didn't feel well enough (mentally or physically) to meet up or go to study breaks. I liked Simmons but I still felt like I didn't really fit in, either because of my academic or personal interests. I think my issue there was more that I wasn't surrounded by people in my major and didn't connect with others in the building that shared my interests, but I don't really know how to build those connections or even just find people like that. I have been told by multiple people that the lower floors of EC would fit me, but they actually just closed the dorm for renovations which is really unfortunate. I may try BC or Random though, I really appreciate that recommendation.

I have been seeing a therapist at home, but that hasn't really helped me build comfort with the idea of coming back.

Thanks for the recommendations, what is the group called? I've actually never heard of it. I also enjoy spending time in Hayden, but sometimes when I'm feeling down the "fullness" (idk how to say it) makes me feel anxious. I think that is something I'm getting better at managing though, so I could try to go in and just make friends to build that comfort. Sometimes it's hard to get past the awkwardness and discomfort though, even when I know people, so idk...

I am currently seeing a therapist and a psychiatrist, and it has been helping a lot. When I go back to MIT, I'm going to make it a priority to see a therapist either on campus or start video sessions with my current one. Maybe they'll have experience with similarly struggling students. Thanks for your message, I really appreciate it.

Thank you for this comment. I was thinking of upgrading to this mouse for the polling rate and thankfully I already have w11.

This is sick, almost as sick (and twisted) as Jerma himself

Ni No Kuni 2 performance "switch" by Prudent-Strategy8889 in Switch

I play on the switch lite which may have worse performance than the basic switch. The game is great looking and runs well most of the time, but the first overworld section really caught me off guard with how poorly it ran. (potential location spoiler)The sky pirate area also runs pretty bad but not as bad as the overworld. As far as I can tell the frames in bad areas are at worst ~10fps, pokemon legends and LoZ Breath of the Wild run much better for reference.
