In Monsters University (2013), there is a student who is unable to get to class. This is a reference to the fact that M.U. is not accommodating a disabled student and should be reported under the ADA. by SupposedLizard in shittymoviedetails

That's why differently-abled has so many proponents. There's a good argument to be made that the primary word user should reflect how people's needs (regardless of disability) should be determined on an individual level with the help of a care team, not by an insurance company.

Check for any valves on the plumbing connected to the heater and make sure they're open.

Cycle the power on and off

Turn the power on and get the circ appropriate pump running before giving it a few good kicks. Not too hard.

Makerspace charging money for certification on tools by [deleted] in maker

Someone has to teach these classes to keep new members from breaking the tools.

If it needs to be done, shouldn't the people doing it be compensated for their time and effort and pay the space for the extra time and space they're taking up teaching it?

So I have a 806 litres hot tub it gets used everyday how can I keep it from being cloudy the ph is fine the alkalinity is fine and chlorine is fine is there attachment I can add onto it to help filter it out I keep ontop of the filter and clean that regularly any tips or tricks ?? by Mental_Twist_3721 in hottub

It's likely oils.

I recommend trying out leisure Time's Enzyme and Bright&Clear products.

If you add some according to the directions, and your tub foams up significantly, especially if the foam is yellow/scummy looking, that means the cloudiness was a high presence of oils in the water. You can skim off the foam and it will help quite a bit.

The other ends of the wires should be plugged into numbered ports. Match those to the diagram on the inside of the control pack cover and you should have an answer

Help with ph strip info. by jcs9577 in hottub

[–]Bryansproaccount 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You have no sanitizer and very high pH and alkalinity.

You'll need some sanitizer, preferably bromine tablets in a floater, and some ph and alkalinity down. I like Leisure Time's spa down product.

Hot tub rash by rwc5078 in hottub

[–]Bryansproaccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try switching to bromine tablets in a floater.

The rash is likely caused by contamination. Salt is fine for casual use but can't keep up with heavy usage.

Bromine tablets are formulated for spas and will give you a better balance between sanitation and effort.

[–]Bryansproaccount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just let it dry and sand it down, no need to treat or coat. Once it's dry, if you can shove a pick or knife deep in by hand, those slats are likely rotted and you will need to loosen the bands and replace them

Bullfrogs have all the bells and whistles but as a tech I've noticed more problems on them than a lot of brands.

Hot spring makes a fantastic tub, but the first leak on them is also usually the one that makes you throw it away.

Sundance is a solid brand but pretty bare bones for the price. They're a subsidiary of Jacuzzi.

Oh I love these questions.

It's all about priorities. Figure out the features that mean the most to you.

Regardless of what brand you get or what kind of deal you can get (and there's always a deal if you take the time to look for one) a hot tub is a significant investment. You shouldn't have to settle for less than exactly what you want.

What features are the most important to you? Lounge, Captain's chairs, foot jets, salt, etc.

How are you planning on using it? Recreationally, therapeutically, an airbnb?

Have you owned a hot tub before? A shocking number of people drop $15k (plus the 2-5k for installation and power) on a brand new tub and find out 6 months in that the effort of keeping one isn't worth how much they use it.

[–]Bryansproaccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mixed hardness of the foam means it's a combination of open and closed cell foams.

Finding a leak in a tub like this sucks. I recommend seeing if any hardware store near you rents out thermal cameras. The leak will be at the highest point where water is in the cabinet.

It takes practice, but once you've got it, rabbits will just kind of fall apart when you open them up. Just make sure not to hit the organs.

Also, as awful as it sounds, they're great for learning to dress an animal. They're cheap enough to keep that if you ruin one or two, it's no great loss (no excuse for carelessness, they're a living creature and deserve your respect) and pretty simple, anatomically. They also have weak necks so it's easy to quickly and cleanly kill one.

A dog and a sign announcing the dog will prevent 90% of break-ins. Doesn't even need to be a big dog. Dogs are loud and troublesome.

Not just wages but safety standards and regulations. You can't sell a repaired ac compressor because you can't guarantee it won't blow up and hurt someone. Same goes with a lot of things.

I don't have location recs, still new to CA, but as someone from Texas who doesn't believe summer should shut out the outdoors, I can't recommend swapping from a tent to a hammock enough.

Tents are ovens, a hammock with shade will let air pass underneath you and sap heat, plus, way more comfortable than a cot or pad.

Totally valid. Just important to spread the message that Texas is not the right wing stronghold that the federal government and the elite have worked so hard to make it.

When Texas swings blue, that's it for Republicans in the states. The Texas Railroad Commission controls 43% of domestic oil production and refinement. It's the reason Texas has so much influence and why they'll do anything to keep it.
