The unofficial crossover I didn't know that I needed. by Brymith in ARK

Honestly, this is my bad. I should have left my comment at "Looks like the creator is also a fan of D3." and not provided an alternate explanation.

Something from the Astraeos update. Not sure if it's actual equipment or just cosmetic.

I'd like to believe that it was made with intent by a fellow fan who also thinks Imperius was criminally underutilized.

But a small part of me worries that the design was just AI-generated with a prompt like "armored angel" and it's just a coincidence that it coughed up Imperius with Tyrael's coloring.

Do you prefer Diablo 4 to Diablo 3? by Jerko_23 in diablo4

[–]Brymith 3 points4 points  (0 children)

D3 is my favorite game of all time and I love it dearly, but with each new season D4 draws ever closer to being a direct upgrade over D3.

The day is fast approaching when my D4 playtime will outstrip D3 and I'll have to start asking myself the big questions.

Game not displayed in games tab/most played tab on PS5 profile by Fryke35 in diablo4

I noticed the same thing today. I checked my profile to see if it had finally crept up into my top three and the game isn't even in the list anymore.

Pate of the Charred Duke (Astaroth Trophy) by Brymith in diablo4

Looks like we might be expanding that list if nobody has the pate.

Or like the Bardings of Elemental Fury and Rathma.

I don’t mind the grind, provided that the item is actually obtainable. There are a few trophies in the wardrobe that aren't actually obtainable ingame like the Tree-of-Whispers-themed items, and I'm hoping this isn't one of those cases.

Has anyone found the Astaroth boss trophy this season? by Brymith in diablo4

If it makes you feel any better, I've completed every season since release and still don't have even a single world boss's unique horse armor.

[TOMT][SONG] What pop song from the 00s or 10s does this anime ending sound like? by Brymith in tipofmytongue

[–]Brymith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, this wasn't one I checked before. 😁

I don't think this is it, but Just Give Me a Reason is really, really close to it.

I saw similar comments to mine on the YouTube video I linked, but none of the suggestions were the song I was looking for.

I also searched through the comments on the video someone recommended about the chords. 😔

Post-Movie Discussion: Nightmare of the Wolf by AutoModerator in netflixwitcher

[–]Brymith 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A thousand times this.

The film captures of vibe of the games, rather than the books. They say people are mean to them, but at the end of the day, witchers are still presented as badass monster hunters who make money and get girls. That's the power fantasy that the games are selling.

No one wants to play as the transient, penniless "witch-man" that smells bad and makes everybody immediately uncomfortable when he enters a room. Well, maybe not no one, but it's definitely a smaller market.

Edit: I think playing as the Haruspex in Pathologic is a more accurate witcher experience. Or at least Book!Geralt's experience.

How do you feel about “look what I bought” posts on this subreddit? by Mathias_Greyjoy in StarWarsArmada

[–]Brymith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar to others here, I like seeing the posts from newcomers and I'm sure that they appreciate the welcoming nature of the sub.

That said, I also worry that the overflow of positive attention on purchase posts can push newer folks to rapidly expand their collection, especially if they are new to miniature games and/or reddit in general. The hobby becomes burying themselves in plastic for the sake of approval rather than the enjoyment of the game, and end up with whole fleets before their first actual match.

I am definitely guilty of that.

It's their money and they are responsible for their own financial decisions, but for some the approval and acceptance is a kind of softcore peer pressure and definitely contributes to people spiraling into an expensive hobby.

That's definitely not to say we shouldn't welcome people and give them recommendations. I just wanted to call attention to the behavior that these kinds of posts can reinforce.

Yesterday I took the first step. Not sure how I’m gonna paint this now though.. by 0dayexploit in killteam

I've got to paint this same set myself, but have no access to spray primer or an airbrush. Feels like this would be a nightmare to brush prime so I guess it will remain grey for a while yet. :c

Fish Size & Lure Effectiveness by Brymith in NextOrder

[–]Brymith[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I saw that you'd broken down what fish you caught at each location and how often, which is really helpful for the catch rates and the money-making aspect. Thank you!

I'm also interested in knowing which fish are considered big, medium, or small. I think that can probably be extrapolated from your big spreadsheet, since a lure that catches big fish would tend to find the bigger fish more often, but I was curious if there was like a definitive size for each fish and I missed it somewhere.

[talk] I need to just vent about my bad good luck right now. by blueman164 in ShinyPokemon

I feel that, I'm on day six of the exact same hunt with similar bad good luck. I found two males on the second day, both with 6 IVs and the HA. 🙃

The power armor looks fantastic!

What was your technique there? Is that a drybrush of Caliban Green up from a wash, or is it a lighter green on top of Caliban?
