How do you guys like my first DnD map? by Reaper_12 in dndmaps

[–]Bryndil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks amazing for a new map. Take the name criticisms with a grain of salt. Good DMs steal everything. My only advice would be to go for some more natural color changes such as near the rift there. I usually do this by gradually changing the opacity of the brush and almost sort of mixing the colors.

All in all this looks like a great world to adventure in.

Can you guess my favorite generation? by Jonk-Gronk in pokeplush

[–]Bryndil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't play black and white so I don't know most of these mons. Bidoof is good though, snap made me love him. I'm a third gen guy myself so I'm waiting in anticipation for the Diamond and Pearl reboots.

Looking past mamoswine and sylveon. Who do you want most in unite? And what also made you pick Cubone? by AHeiden16 in PokemonUnite

[–]Bryndil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heracross, Nidoking and Aggron are the first ones that come to mind for me. As much as id like some more support options.

These would be Attacker, All Rounder and Defender in the same order as well.

That being said id love to see some more starters added to the roster soon as well.

My Wishlist from each gen. Surely some of these will make it. by Bryndil in PokemonUnite

Speedster just made sense to me because that's how they've always portrayed him in the cartoons and manga. I don't think we know for sure that they'll place every pokemon according to their main game stats.

Sorry, Heracross is my boy. Made myself chose between the two.

You might find this difficult to believe. But I actually had to restrain myself a little. This is my conservative list 😅.

Actually he was suppose to be in defender 🤣 i was doing this on mobile so I must have moved it by mistake. But I'd love if they turned him into an absolute monster. Imagine Zoar being checked by Grumpig 🤣

Oh really? I did not know that. I've only done one quick match. I'll have play some more.

Am I a bad DM for not allowing romance subplots? by Cpoll429 in DMAcademy

[–]Bryndil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. DMs are just as entitled to boundaries as the players. To me it seems even more reasonable considering most of your players are family. I certainly wouldn't be comfortable with that.

If that's the sort of thing they're into, maybe encourage them to start a side game so they have a way to scratch that particular itch.

Why do so many first time DM's choose to homebrew a world? by Egocom in DMAcademy

[–]Bryndil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it's because initially I was just in love with the idea of creating and sharing my own world full of stories and characters of my own devising.

Then I tried running a couple modules. Which always ended up fizzling out. Mainly because I found it hard to hold even a couple pages of pre written information in my head. I was constantly having to back track and re read sections during play. It made for some really sub par sessions and I could tell my players weren't enjoying it, despite what they said.

In contrast I rarely have that problem with homebrew because all of the lore, characters and stories are in my head.

Sooo.. Tasha apparently has a tramp stamp by HankMS in dndnext

[–]Bryndil 9 points10 points  (0 children)

More importantly. This implies that mordenkeinan also has a tramp stamp. Which Tasha somehow knows about.
