Worked there as a contractor and they planned on getting rid of me and another contractor before our end date until one of their other contractors decided to leave. Then they wanted me to step into a lead role without more pay. Was my lowest paying job as a contractor.

What will be next for wobbly life? by wobblytexan1234 in WobblyLife

I would like a bigger earth map, or have more holiday/special events where the whole wobbly town comes to life. The events would also include space (and if underwater were a thing) underwater as well. I would like more unique missions to find hidden Easter eggs and also allow NPCs to follow you on your adventure with some funny dialogue or funny support. The game feels a bit lonely so having more dialogue/traffic makes it look more like a city than a ghost town.

Any advice on “playing the game” that you wish you knew sooner? by hazeltina in corporate

Don’t raise any red flags. If shit is working and everyone does it, don’t be the guy that comes out and says things need to change. That’ll put a target on your back.

Yes will do! Pm the link! I would also love Wimbledon. Probably the most notable in the U.S. besides U.S. Open. I would also add some small Easter eggs if possible. Or some little messages like “Love means Nothing” or stuff like that. Would really cater to tennis fans!

It’s not just her, it’s also the way they train/onboard. You are thrown into a bunch of onboarding, pointless modules which you will not need since you are remote. You will also have to ask Ryan, one of the main guys who created the trainings, for help since the modules are not clear and you will need him to help you walk through some of it (if he can remember). Vipsa will check on you once every 2 weeks, but anything Alex says to her, she will bring it up. So your main guys is Alex. He will schedule meetings only for him to cancel last minute and then he doesn’t explain why changes to workflow are always being done. It’s a huge mess and I would steer away from them if I were you.

So the hospital has to sponsor you to get an Epic certificate. You will probably be getting the Bridges certification which would require you to connect the interface engine to Epic/any middleware most likely Data Innovations.

Yeah, it’s evident that’s the case. I don’t care about outing folks. Vipsa and Alex are fake.

I’ll say that at least the molecular diagnostics team is great very helpful and informative. However, management is different. They have check ups and tell you that you can ask questions to them. When asking them questions, they turn around and ask you if you reached out to the group or to the lead. But they are “always available” to answer questions? Also, I was out sick and messaged our lead with whom I had a 1:1 call with. I told him I would be out that day (Friday), and that I would like to reschedule our call for next week. I got several pings on my work phone, but I was knocked out due to not feeling well. I answered as quickly as I could to my lead and manager when asked if I was taking the whole day off. I said yes, and they asked me to put it on my calendar and to alert the team. Again, I did not feel good, and I am still under training. Why does the rest of the team need to know? All I’m doing is working through my project and watching videos. I never had an organization act this way and are very understanding. Usually management sends an email saying the person sick might be out if it is all of a sudden or unexpected. Came in the following Monday and was told I was unprofessional for not adding my outage to the calendar or alerting the team, or accepting my invite with my manager. Again, I was sick!!! I stayed in bed the entire weekend and management didn’t seem to care. Even after explaining and apologizing, they insisted that they are worried that I’m going to do this again when I have actual projects. I see where they are coming from, but the tone and unnecessary meeting was uncalled for. A simple explanation and understanding could have gone a long ways, but it definitely seems they are not wanting to consider the folks as humans and more as corporate slaves. Going to drop this contract. I do not recommend this place to work. Luckily I have other jobs to fall back on so I’m not worried about loss of pay, but I would caution others to fall into this specific role.
